DECEMBER 6, 2009 Winter WONDERland sailing!!!

Oh changing the title just makes it easier to find when using the thread they have posted with all the cruise dates...

My comment about being almost on the third page of was because no one was posting on here - and everyone else WAS on their cruise thread.

And I mean on the pages where you click on the Cruise Meet forum link to find the currently active threads.

Smiles,
Holly

I do understand what you guys are saying but at the same time...I went over to the meet forum and checked out the first few pages and mostly what I saw was people who are on cruises for the remainder of this year and into like april of next...I honestly think that more people will start coming here as they are signing up for the cruise...its still kind of far out...However, I will make the changes if it makes you feel better Shari:lmao: jk with you...;) but how do I put the icon on the thread?? can you believe ive been on the DIS since 04 and know how to manuever through everything but have never posted an icon on the main thread before...oh lord :rolleyes2

LOL - I won't be offended if you don't, Lynn. Trust me, I'm just one of those overly detail-oriented, constantly thinking too much people who is always coming up with strange ideas - some good, some not. :3dglasses

To add an icon to the thread, go to advanced mode to edit your FIRST post. BELOW the editing area and above the submit and preview buttons there should be a "Post Icons" area. The green smiley is the one I thought would show up nicely. I THINK that when you select that for the very first post of the thread, it should show up next to the thread listing on the Meets page. It's been awhile since I've started a thread, so I'm not positive.

nah im just playin with you...seriously though, im too lazy to go back and see if i wrote this but i did tell you guys about how long ive been dreaming about this trip right?

And oh, my! You really DID change the thread title! :lmao:

If THAT doesn't get attention, I don't know what will!

There ARE some late 2009 cruise threads on page one. The "Bash on the Boat" and "Nana Nation" are two of them. Those threads tend to post about anything and everything and make little remarks just to keep it bumped up. In the past, I've never been one to like to do that, BUT I guess "visibility" counts for something, so we can try to "keep it going" here. :cool1:

Oh, and as I previewed this I saw you asking me to go back and check. I already had. I've just been busy typing this long reply about it.

I've been gone all day - but WOW - the thread title looks fantastic! It will garner attention for the MouseFester's when they start looking for this cruise.

Oh - and since I started the question: Yes, I intend to dress up for Pirate's Night. I do have a hat I like:

Not sure what I'll do for the rest - probably a white ruffled shirt, black ruffled skirt and big hoop earrings.

Cute hat, Holly!

I have over a year to decide about Pirate Night so I'll probably change my mind 20 times! In the past I've worn red and black but no "costume." What I'd like most would be to find something to match the Pirate Night costumes of Chip 'n' Dale, without the chipmunk part of course! :rotfl2:

ok so ladies I need some assistance with something...I am not that creative in coming up with names for TR's and themes and stuff..so I really want to have a funny name for my PTR/TR when I start it...AND I want to have a really great slogan for my cruise part of the trip...just stupid The Garcia/Arroyo family wonder trip or cruisin on the Wonder aint gonna cut it...so we have quite a bit of time...can you guys think on some suggestions...I kind of want it geared towards me and who I am and what this trip is to me blah blah blah...I will answer any questions you have about myself to get you a better idea of what it should be but I want a really catchy memorable theme...will ya help me?

Lynn, we might be able to help you, but it may take some time to get those creative juices flowing in the right direction. Fortunately, TIME is something we have plenty of before we sail! :)

You are welcome! No guarantees because it isn't nice to promise what may not be possible to deliver, but (at least speaking for myself) the effort will be made sometime between now and then.

I'm sure everyone here has a busy life, myself included, but "creative" efforts are something that just has to flow. So keep your fingers crossed!

will do:)

EVERYONE should check out THIS THREAD on what NOT to bring on your cruise. I did not yet read the entire thread, but the initial posts by alisonslp, Tink rules, and atinkerbellmom are a DON'T MISS!

PLEASE NOTE atinkerbellmom's post: "Sorry you got that on the DIS to bring bubbles. Actually bubbles are a no no on DCL. If a CM sees you blowing them, they will ask you to stop. At least I have seen this on three cruises. One CM went on to tell the lady that when they hit the deck and pop, they make the deck wet and slippery and can cause falls with other guest. I have also "X"ed the silly string. On our last cruise, DS turned the can the wrong way and sprayed Mickey by accident. Mickey had to dance the whole performance with hot pink silly string on him. We became known as the family who sprayed the mouse. So that has now been taken off the list as well."

Thank goodness they no longer allow bubbles! Too many times my hair and clothes have gotten wet and sticky from the bubbles of guests. I am HAPPY to see DCL ban those bubbles. They have their OWN bubble machine that is harmless. In my next post I'm going to explain my view of other "Don't Brings" on that thread.
