We are taking a spur of the moment trip to WDW over NYE - yay! I have been looking for hours (it seems) for a reasonable rental car rate for these travel dates. there are 6 of us, so we really need a minivan. The lowest I have found is about $700!!!! I just can bring myself to pay that amount - has anyone had any luck for cars around these travel dates?

I did better by splitting it up- total would be $457 (after taxes with free 2nd driver).

Using Alamo:
Dec 31st-Jan 1st (walmart ID) Pick up at MCO "drop off" at car care center
Jan 1st-Jan 7th (walmart ID and $25 off online coupon code) "pick up" at car care center and drop off at MCO

Definitely a little annoying (redoing paperwork at car care center) but worth it to save $250!

Thanks. I believe I tried picking up the car from the Dolphin on January 2 (which is the day I really *need* the car) and it didn't do me much good. I will give Alamo a shot at the car care center....

Thanks a lot Forevryoung - Alamo was $300 cheaper than National (go figure)

I will just take ME to Disney and pick up my car on Jan 1st from the Dolphin - woo hoo
