December 3, 2011 Eastern Magic

Thanks for the appreciation, Holley! It IS "the group" that makes the fun in the cruise, so I appreciate every one of you! I did the site to help attract people to our cruise and add something different and fun (ie. Chip 'n' Dale theme), but the success of all the planned get-togethers (meaning the "fun factor") will depend entirely on the participation of our Cruisin' Nuts. The reason there are so many planned is because obviously everyone has their own family priorities and interests, but hopefully the choices will give us all the opportunity to meet each other before the cruise is over. Then after the cruise we can decorate the site with photos from our get-togethers as an "online scrapbook."

That's a great idea!:thumbsup2 Can't wait to meet everyone!!!:yay:

Wow you guys talking HTML and .Net had my head spinning!!:upsidedow I LOVE being part of a group where it is so organized and I get to just be part of it, but not do all the hard work:lmao: No seriously in case I forget, Taswira, thank you so much for the awesome work you do! I know I totally appreciate it, and it makes the group so much more fun, it's people like you that make these groups all worth it!

Jen you sound like you are an absolute blast!:cool1: This cruise is gonna rock!! Just outta curiosity anyone coming down the day before our cruise?? We will be (we always do) and I actually have already booked our room at the Radisson:rolleyes1 sooooooo if anyone else is staying there maybe we could do a mini meet and greet by the pool, we had one last year and it was sooooo much fun:goodvibes Any who just a thought, I am well aware of how long we have til this trip:rotfl: My sister calls me OCD I call me prepared;)

528 days to go!!!:woohoo:

OOoo! OOoo! I will be there the day before! Radisson eh? How did you book it? Through priceline or just through the hotel? I think it might be a good idea to do that. Even though I havent booked it, I have talked it over with my cruise clan and they are all for it. They said it gives them time to save up!! So I might go ahead and book that room. I have heard that the sooner you try it through priceline, the lower the price. Which I thought was a tad backwards. Do you like Radisson better than Country Inns? I was wanting Country inns because I heard that you can wake up to the view of the ship but then I found out you have to be on the 4th floor and those floors wont be booked with priceline.

Also, we have decided to fly down for our September cruise. We were going to rent a car but if there is a hotel that will pick you up, i would rather do that. Does anyone else know about this?

thanks!! :D :yay:

O agree with the being prepared. I feel like i know more about a cruise than most that have taken one already! LOL CDO (OCD alphabetized) is the only way for me!

I plan on making it to as many meets as possible. But I dont want to neglect my family either (I am sure you all agree). I will see how it will work this cruise. I am so excited about all the sea days!! I will DEFINITELY be a part of the walks on sea days. That is a FABULOUS idea!

Does your other cruise have a theme?

Yup! "breezin' to the Bahamas". They are a really sweet crowd. But with the Christmas theme, 7 night cruise, and you guys, I am just super excited!!! :yay:

Sounds like fun, but of course WE will quadruple that!

OUR theme is Chip 'n' Dale, Cruisin' Nuts AND Christmas! Can't beat that!

(NOTE: I have had to change my cruise dates and am no longer on this sailing.)

I haven't ever stayed at the Country Inn, but I am seriously biased to the Radisson!! It was the first place we stayed on our first cruise and I think it it is fantastic!!! I don't know if you can get the Radisson on Priceline on not, I personally LOVE it and honestly don't mind the price too much, it's just where I want to stay! You can see the ships from there also, I'm not sure about which rooms but I know I just walk myself right around the building on Saturday morning and take me a good look at that boat! Usually a Carnival ship will end up blocking your view anyways, so I wouldn't pay just for the view! :goodvibesI don't know of any hotels in Port Canaveral that offer pickup from the airport, but there are lots of other affordable options, we have used Happy Limo twice and been really pleased with the service from them. For our trip this year we are renting a car one way and have private transportation for our return back to the airport. You can definitely save some money with the rental car option:thumbsup2 Especially with just 2 people, but the bigger the group the more fun and affordable it is to get a big ol limo! The first time we cruised it was 17 of us and loads of fun piling up into a big ol stretch Hummer and getting dropped off at the Radisson!! You should soooooooo stay there, cause that's where the funb will be:lmao:!!! I think it's better than the Country Inn just because if the pool! Plus Kelsey's is right next door (delicious Italian place) and there is a Go-Kart/Mini Golf place across the parking lot, makes for a lot of fun!

Well, I am glad to hear this because yesterday I went ahead and booked the Radisson. I got it for $116 and it is refundable up until 2 days before (I haven't paid for it yet so I'm good). She also said they have FREE transportation to the port which Country Inns charges and Country Inn was $160 something. She said they dont offer a contental breakfast but I figured the difference in the hotel prices and the price of the shuttle will more than pay for the breakfast we will have to buy. I booked it for the day before the cruise and the day after. I got a good deal on Southwest but it was only good on Monday so we are going to hang out an extra day. We thought we would just hang out by the pool but we might explore the go-kart place. Italian?? mMMMmm I will definitely be going there Saturday night before the cruise.

OK so I am committed to Radisson the day before the cruise. Look for me at the pool!! (I dont think I have ever made this many plans 1 1/2 in advance!)

Love it!!!! You will love the Radisson!!!:woohoo: Hey wait a minute, if you go to Kelsey's on Saturday night you will miss the boat!!!:lmao: Me thinks you meant Friday night;) Me and DH and my best-est will see ya there! This will be my friend's very first cruise ever and she is so excited:goodvibes I want her to experience everything wonderful that I did for my first cruise which was only in 2008! Now I have a full-blown addiction:rotfl: It's kinda becoming a tradition for us, fly down the day before as early as possible, spend the day by the pool, dinner at Kelsey's then hit up the Go karts!:cool1: Totally see you at the pool! We'll figure out a time as it gets closer and we see who else may be joining us at the Rad:cool2: Anyways the Radisson does offer a free shuttle, you will need to call the hotel directly, not the 800#! Make sure it's the direct one, to the actual hotel in Port Canaveral :) You will give them your name and pick your time to be transported to the port. We usually do 10:30am. No matter what we always end up sitting around at the port for an hour or so, but it just adds to the excitement for us:thumbsup2 And as for the whole free breakfast thing, we always end up with leftovers from Kelsey's and we just nuke it in the morning and have dinner for breakfast! :) There is also a McDonald's within walking distance ;) Gotta love that dollar menu! :rotfl: I can't wait:yay: Only 525 more days!!!!!:dance3:

Well, I actually meant this cruise (September 26th) but I assumed the December one would leave on Sunday too! I guess I will have to take that Friday off work. I dont want to come in at night and I am with you! I want to get there as early as I can. Why wait around home when you can be in the magic city? hehe

Do they have microwaves in the room? Or do they let you use the ones in the kitchen?

Oh I cant wait either!! I am assuming that December is ok to swim?? Oh this is going to be sooooo much fun!! :D :D :D

Hey that's my little bro's birthday (Sept. 26th) and yep that makes more sense:goodvibes And yes our cruise does leave on Saturday:cool1: So definitely take Friday off and come on down! We swam in December on our first cruise so unless the weather is being uncooperative we should be fine, and hey they have a hot tub too if it's too chilly for the pool:lmao:

We have always had a microwave and a mini fridge in our room, I'm not sure if all rooms have them or not, you could always call and check on that, but like I said we always have one, although I would be ok eating some cold pizza;) But I know how handy a microwave can be! I don't know about using ones in the kitchen:confused: But if you end up in a room that for some reason doesn't have one, you can come use ours!:goodvibes I know the room we booked has one b/c it stated it in the room description.

It's gonna be so much fun! Can I get a whoop whoop!!!??:banana:
