The "generic" cruise website is all yours now. I got your PM with your email address and I made you the owner of the site and the spreadsheet, and removed myself from the permissions. If you are familiar with Google Sites you should have no problem, as it's super easy (This coming from someone who hand-coded HTML back in 1995!). If not, just remember to preview everything before saving.

Hello Fellow Cruisers!!

I am glad to see our list is growing!! Please check out our website. I have made a couple of changes already. I am hoping to get some "meets"
added shortly. Please feel free to PM for any suggestions/thoughts.

ALSO..I started a "Group" on Facebook for those of you that would like to join and chat!! It is called "The Christmas Castaways DCL- December 3, 2011"
I have it set up as a closed/private group..so you will need to send a request to join and only people in the group can see the postings. I figured that way we can post more information about each other and our upcoming cruise.

Still open for a new cruise name...Please post your ideas!!

We're coming in on the 2nd and staying at the Hilton on the Beach in Cocoa Beach. We're hoping to get a bit of beach time in.
We're going to Disney World after we get off the ship, 1 day in MK and 1 day in Epcot. =)

Hello all!!

Sorry to blow up our meet page!! But I am really getting excited about our upcoming trip... maybe because I have been planning my daughters Disneyland Birthday coming up next month but I wanted to give you some infromation about my plans so far....

We are set to fly into Orlando on December 1st...just to be on the safe side since it is December and you never know about the weather.
Our family is planning on visiting the Kennedy Space Center on December 2, 2011 for FREE!!!
You can too!! Did you know that your Congressman can get them for you???? They are on a first come..first serve basis...and usually start taking requests about 6 months out. So if you are interested..check out your Districts website and send in a request!
Maybe we can make that one of our first "meets"!!

I noticed that the other no kids couple on the list had decided to opt out of the FE... which kind of made me wonder. Is it improper for two adults who don't have kids to be involved with that? Is this something that's really mostly about the kids?

I think we might be the "other no kids couple" you refer to. Please don't NOT do the FE because you think it's just for kids! FE is fun for everyone! If you want to participate, you go right ahead!

We are two adults and are participating in the FE, our adult son in his own cabin, my DS and DBrother-in-law, too!! Of course, we are a big family group with kids and grandkids coming. So far, we have 7 cabins.
We like giving some little thing out. Ours are not real expensive or elaborate as some. Candy is always good and so are pirate tatoos!!
First of all, I need to keep it small and light for our flight and second of all, I really don't know if people like the same thing that I like--so they are just getting a little something to spread the "pixie dust". It is not a Christmas present or birthday present....just a little treat from our cabin to theirs.
If you don't want to participate, you don't have to....or, participate just as much as you wish. One year, instead of doing FE's, we made lots of magnetic Mickey ears for the doors and just went around and put them randomly on people's doors.
It is a lot of fun and it doesn't have to be to much work or expense.

Hi Everyone! Just booked this cruise, it will be me, DH, & DD (age 16). We're from a small town in New Jersey, and this will be our second Disney Cruise. We homeschool DD.

We won't be able to participate in the FE, unfortunately, because DH has a business trip in Florida the week before, so the car will be packed to the brim with work clothes, books, and computer stuff.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Also, we booked a GTY room, so we don't have a room # yet.

So, our window for booking excursions and onboard fun opens in just over two weeks! Now we're starting to decide if we want to do anything in port. We've done the Eastern cruise before, but we've not visited St. John. Is it worth a trip? Would you recommend any of the St. John excursions?
