December 22, 2013 - Disney Dream 4 Night Bahamian Cruise

I’ve compiled a list of Must Do’s for the Disney Dream and I’ll list a different one here each week as we countdown.

(two for this week)

1. Ride the AquaDuck
2. Ride the AquaDuck at night

Hi all!

I'm so excited to be joining you all! I just booked our cruise this morning!! This will be our first Disney cruise and I am incredibly overwhelmed. I am looking forward to all the trip reports on the boards and I'm sure I'll have a bizzilion questions.

This trip will consist of myself, DH, DD (will be 9) and DS (will be 11). Looking foward to getting to know you all!

I need to start thinking of things to sign up for on Castaway Cay... Would love to snorkel with rays... Do I do a package deal? What else should I not miss? Any tips for the beach?

:welcome:!!! Glad to have you! The bacon and brie sandwiches are on the left and the line to the AquaDuck starts here.

I'll get you added to the list and let us know of you want to do the FE. We also have a Facebook page going as well.

Please feel free to ask any questions here. We we're all first timers once two and we love to help out and share the Disney magic.

We loved doing that and will definitely be doing it again. I would just do it separately as you don't want to be too tied down on Castaway Cay.

Thank you so much! Just paid the deposit an hour ago so I feel like it is now official! :cool1: I would love to participate in the FE. Sounds like something my kids would love to be a part of so please sign us up!

I just sent a facebook request too.

Thanks... Common sense would dictate not to overdo. I can't wait to just sit and breathe salty warm air!

3. Order room service as much as possible. Order the wings, cookies, and especially mickey bars. The cheese plate isn’t bad either, but bring extra crackers.

So, for those that are flying, when are you getting your tickets? I don't want to get them too soon but certainly don't want to wait too long!

I think flights for December are available March or April. I'm sure I will start checking then but will not wait long to get them.

I'm afraid of how high the airfare will be!!

That is funny, I was just checking this the other day. Through Expedia, United, US Air, Delta, and American have flights posted already. From my neck of the woods, I'll be going the Southwest/Frontier route (just cheaper), but as Ntrain said, some of those fares will not be out until March/April and it looks like SWA may be towards May.

Already though, the Expedia ones are a couple hundred cheaper than last years rates, so that is good news.

As for booking any rooms before or after the cruise, it looks like you can do that now, rates are not real great there.

Just looked up our cruise on DCL and it's sold out! Does it normally happen that fast? I just put our deposit down 4 days ago, I'm so glad I didn't wait any longer!
