Do you have to call Costco to add a coupon? I booked a minivan and see some references to coupons but cannot see where to add coupons on line.

No. You have to book on the alamo site and use code 7014627. Then they ask for your costco card #

Happy - I'm really new to rental cars, but on Alamo.com (or whatever rental website you are using) usually there is a place to enter a coupon code towards the bottom, below the airport, dates and driver's age.

I booked from the Costco site
Dec 9-21, full size for $335 US.
I noticed that since my pick-up time is later in the day the price was cheaper.

I just booked an mid-size with E-Z Rent-a-Car for a week (12/4-12/11) and was quoted $137.27 all-in. A couple of questions...

1) Are these guys really in terminal?

I have a Dollar City Special compact booked for $110.75 with all taxes - pick up 12/1 at 8:30 pm at MCO drop off 12/5 at 8:30 pm. at MCO. It started in the $140's and has been dropping.

It has been years since we have used Dollar so I am a little nervous just because we have never had an issue with Alamo, but they are so much more.

We used Dollar for the first time in May (admittedly, with some trepidation.....we are Alamo fans through and through) and honestly, it was a very good experience. Sign up for Dollar Express and you can skip the counter and go straight to the garage. We were able to pick our own vehicle from what was available in our car class, which was a nice surprise (we had expected the car to be assigned). No problems or surprises even at or after drop off. If we can be critical at all, it was that Dollar's cars seemed to be a little more worn than Alamo's (but nothing extreme......just somewhat noticeable, particularly on the exteriors). Otherwise, it was a very good experience. We would rent from them again without hesitation if their price was right.

You have a great rate from Dollar for December! We are travelling Christmas week, and our rates are not nearly as favourable as the one you have secured.
