Hello - is there a December 2013 thread yet? Wondering when we can book our trip. Looking at leaving after Christmas, staying till after the New Year. Thanks!

Oh boy - just did some reading and it sounds like the week between Christmas and New Years is a nightmare.

Our other option is Dec 19-24. Is that still going to be nutso crazy?

DS will be in first grade by then and I really don't want to pull him out of school...although the first week in December to celebrate his birthday sure would be fun..

We will be there 12/7/13-12/15/13. We do not have kids so that does not impact when we can go. We last went Thanksgiving Week 2011 and before we went we heard it was a busy week but we did not find the wait times bad at all. I hope you do not mind my offering some suggestions. My advice is go when it is best for your family and not worry about what you hear about the crowds. If you come in time for rope drop and go to the most popular rides at each park early in the day you should be able to see just about everything you would like by the end of your time at that park. I find that AK and DHS do not take as long so if you can try to allow an extra half day or entire day each for MK and EPCOT that might also help. Be sure to allow time to go to CP and MVMCP and resort hop. I would love to hear about your decision of when you will go and where you will stay.

Hi there! We are planning a stay after a 4 day cruise Dec. 26th - Dec 31st. Can't wait! There will be 8 of us all with kids so going while school out is a must. Well not a must hahahahaha but is ideal.

Hello- thanks for all the great advice! We have booked our stay for Dec 27-January 1. We are staying at the Contemporary. This is where we stayed during our first Disney trip in March 2011, and loved it for the location and the fact that we are so close to our favorite Chef Mickeys : )

Last time I was 7 months pregnant, the temp was in the 90's and the crowds were supposedly at 9 or 10 each day. I'm hoping this was a good warmup for what are sure to be totally crazy Christmas/NYE crowds : )

I am so happy you decided on your dates! The CR was my first resort too but I was a kid. For this next trip we are doing a split stay between WL and CR.
