Will there be any "usual" promotions for the off period in December. We are definitely going in mid-Dec regardless just wondering if there would be any specials. Thanks!

Really hoping for free dining. Already have 30 percent off @ POR but FD will save me another $600!!!

We are going the first week of December and thought there might be a possibility of FD.

In March I recieved a pin in the mail for free dining during December. I booked (12/13-12/19). I think that bodes very well for a free dining offer to come out for Dec.

Anyone know when that announcement usually happens? I mean, generally speaking?

Am I understanding correctly? Are you saying that you can have both discounts or just that you'll switch out the AP room discount for the free dining discount, which in total would save you $600. I guess that's assuming that you are going to get the dining plan no matter what. Right?

You cannot stack discounts. You have to do the math and see which way works out to be the best deal. Depending on the number of people in your party and where you are staying, FD can save way more money than a 30% off code. In the case of the poster you quoted, FD will save them $600 more than their room code will.

Thank you so much for the clarification! I was definitely confused! For my family, we enjoy the restaurants almost as much as we do the parks () so getting the FD is such a enormous plus for us!!

I am just on pins and needles trying to figure out if/when they will announce whether they are going to do the FD while we are there or not - and for what days - so that we can move our dates to make it work. Not to mention, get the airline tickets booked!

I was advised that we wouldn't hear anything on FD until at least June of July for December bookings. Might be a bit.

We are booked for FD in Sept, but I REALLY want to change to Dec. I called to see if there was a discount attached to my name...nada. We cannot go in Dec unless we get 40% off Poly or FD. I have to cancel my Sept vacation by 8/4, so I'm *hoping* for some pixiedust: I just want to be able to go & wear a jacket! I'm SICK of being hot at WDW! :faint: We are from TX & we want some cool weather ;) Are the discounts usually offered to the general public? We would like to go around 12/4...

FYI you might want to try the discount rates and codes board here on the Dis, although people are using this board a lot for these types of questions, this board is not for discount promotions it is more for themes or celebrations Disney does and has done in the past. The discount rates and codes board will have more activity with more up to date information than this board

Thanks, I found that board after posting this.
