That's how I am. Every new opportunity seems so exciting.

Someone checked availability, and AKL *does* have availability. I'm flipping it over to Abby, and see what she says. I'd already be over this, but AKL was my first choice, before I saw the price. Now that it's realistic is really intriguing to me.

I'll cut down with the questions, I promise *puppy dog eyes*

Just thought I would let you know that if you use DVC points you don't get free dining; not sure you calculated your dining plan but just a heads up:santa:

CONTEST NEWS

As I mentioned earlier, the contest document gets locked at 9pm for now more edits. Now if you currently have a guess, you can still change your guess up till 9pm EST tonight. Keep reading---

I only mention this all again because I just took a look at the current roll call. Those of you with "low" guesses might want to calculate where we are currently on the Roll Call and make a NEW guess. See, how nice I am? :thumbsup2

Went and changed my guess. Counted all the new people that have been added. Didn't think it had grown by that much already.:lmao:

BIG NEWS!!!

Vacation is officially PAID OFF!!!!

The airfare, the hotel, the food, the tickets, the MVMCP...even some supplies, gifts, shirts/customs for us! :thumbsup2

Congratulations.

DW and I are getting there ourselves. We have a room only discount, so I guess I gotta pay the rest there. Flights are booked, rental car is booked and MVMCP tickets are bought. Just need the actual theme park tickets now. It will have to wait until we come back from DL.

If you guys and gals haven't realized yet, I'm the king of second guessing/over-thinking my plans. I just had another option come up, and I'm curious of the DISers thoughts:

Right now, I'm booked in AOA LM, DxDDP, 7-day MYW base tickets. Total: $2367.58

Option B: Book a DVC rental through David's DVC Rentals.
Studio room at Animal Kingdom Lodge: $741.00/Boardwalk Villas Studio or Old Key West: $832.00
DxDDP: $1026.24
7-day MYW base tickets (via Undercover Tourist): $579.31
TOTAL: $2346.55/$2437.55

Thoughts?

My opinion is to switch. BUT..... before you get your hopes up, the odds of you getting that reservation are like 1% right now. I made multiple inquiries through DVC request and they were all coming up with no availability. They are very nice and pleasant though and do refund the inquiry fee immediately. I was told that in the future I should try about 11 months ahead of time for AKL. So January 2013 I will be booking next years trip. Even thinking of Wilderness Lodge or Boardwalk actually!

You ARE nice ;) I'm going to stick with my original guess....although I really want to change it. I just KNOW that if I were to change it, it wouldn't have been correct. lol!

Just a heads up I just added 5 new people to the face book page.:santa:

You check out of OKW on 12/1? Maybe I will see you on my way to check in!! The studios are very roomy at OKW plus with the recent refurb I'm in love all over again.

:rolleyes1
Cool, I'll be on the lookout for your LGMH! I found one in my FE's from last year's cruise, so I was excited. Didn't know what it was for at the time.

I really had been hoping for AKV since we're heading to AK the next day, but super excited to be on-site at all and AKV was sold out. Will love just seeing three different resorts so that way I have a good idea of where I might want to add-on someday in Florida if I can ever talk DH into it ...

Hmmmmm, I have a room only discount and they took my payment over the phone. Is this wrong?

Hello Dan :)

Wow, a lot of posts!

Now you're on board, don't forget to enter our Roll-Call Competition (details in post #2) kindly sponsored by our resident levenhopper pixiedust:
LOL, most of those came during a two year stint as a moderator type person on the community board 13 years ago.

But I think Abby was the one who was very into LM!! Hmm, yeah let her decide. That way if you hate the place, you can blame her! :rotfl: I remember you toying with CSR vs AoA, and you said you wouldn't be spending time in the resort. If that still remains, I say stick with AoA.

Exactly! I cant wait to see where they end up. :) Yes I had CSR booked for a long time. We are taking my 22 year old DB and decided to do 2 rooms at POP so we have a little more space. I think DH and I may stay at CSR on the next trip, unless I can talk him into AKL, CR or YC. :lmao:

You can pay ahead with a RO reservation, but unlike a package, the payment isn't really due until you check-in. So why give Disney the interest on your money?

Hmmm. Good question. If they let you do it, I might try it myself. Just as long as you have a receipt showing the balance paid in full, you should be good to go.

Hi all!

I have been sooooo busy this summer! (I co-bred two litters of American Cocker Spaniels PUPPIES!!!!) and the kids being home...and work....it's been so nice helping time go by so much quicker !!!

Then today....I got an email from Disney Destinations! For free dining!!!!

Same dates as the public offer...which are not my dates. Wah, Wah, Wah.....

I figure it's my punishment for thinking of anything non Disney related! :rotfl:

Now....how can I get the next 117 days to fly by? Is it odd if I ask my doctor to put me in a medically induced coma? :rotfl2:

Abby was into LM because we only considered values at first. But the budget changed, plus she's also a huge animal lover. I don't think we can go wrong either way...it's just figuring out which to do *this* time.

We were planning on staying at LM at AoA, which didn't have free dining anyways...so it's a moot point here. But good point!

AKL has a studio room available in Kidani :)

Glad that was not a budget breaker; I would have never thought about it except we are DVC members and never get free dining.

AKL has a studio room available in Kidani :)

Kidani is beautiful but much more cozy.

Well be there December 1-8th as well. Staying in the AoA LM room with our DD5. Looking forward to it!
