December 2011 - Christmas with Mickey!! Who's Coming Along and Planning Help Thread!!

Heyyy fellow December planners! DBF and I are planning our first trip to the world for this december! We picked December because one, we both LOVE Christmas so seeing all the lights and Christmas decorations will be amazing and two from what I've read early december is fairly low crowd! Perfect for us!

So I need a little help... If you could pick between November 27 - December 3 or December 11 - 17. The first week is the week after Thanksgiving and the second week is the week before schools get out for break (I'm assuming, based on when Christmas and New Years is) which week do you think will be lighter crowd wise? I'm guessing not too many people will want to take there kids out of school right before a 2 week break so either should be okay.

Unfortunately for us, December is not as "quiet" as it once was. The secret is out now. Personally, we have found your 2nd time-frame to be a little quieter. We would have gone during that time, but work does not allow it. The parks get a little busier that first week of December, they quiet down just a little bit and then start really picking up around the 20th or 21st.

Thanks! I think this is the week we decided... Well, actually airfare prices decided it for us We're adding on a night and are taking a red eye flight for almost 2 extra park days to make up for the little bit of extra crowds I'm expecting at the end of the week.

we are going december 11 to 29 staying at windsor hills!!!!

this will be our second time at wdw for christmas. staying at the same condo as last time. it as awesome. owners are amazing to work with.

we have 4 small children.

We considered changing to the GF, but I really want to stay at the Poly.

We're "thinking" of possibly switching resorts as well.

We want to do something special for E's mom, but the room decor at BWI may not fall into our plans!

BTW, I am doing a PTR for our trip - losing weight for Mickey if anyone wants to stop by! It's WAY more than your typical diet plan.
