Before the Celebratio/Free on your birthday thing came around, I told DH I wanted to go next December (2009). I really wanted to see the decorations, cooler weather, just something different from the usual September/Hurricane Season, and the ungodly heat. Granted we like going for our anniversary (9/19) but maybe December would be a welcome change (MY BIRTHDAY! WOO!). I've dreamed of going to Disney around Christmas! But THEN I started reading about the hotels booking up *already* and well, I was like, ho-hum, I guess it's not possible. (I know a lot of people are stressing about Pop Warner, but I'm not worried about it.) So, I asked DH about Feb 2010 because I *think* it's cheap that time of year (plus, tax return time!) and it'll be cooler, and he agreed.
But then I can't help but think- I've been getting PIN codes, discount codes, and all that hoopla for December 2008, and with the economy the way it is, and the direction it's heading, I don't see why December 2009 would be different. But that'd be my luck that we wouldn't get a darn thing!
Oh.. just out of curiosity, if we booked Dec 09 now, when do we pay it off? How long do we have? We've always booked our trips in less than 2 months, and had to pay it off darn near immediately upon booking.
So... should I want for 2010? Do I try to get a Dec 09 vacation, and experience the Christmas magic? Or is February 2010 a better bet?
Thank you for all your help.
