December 2008 Trip - sigh no reservations

I'm livid. I began calling in early August for Dec. 2008 reservations. Each time I was told to call back on a certain date (beginning with Aug 23) to reserve when the dates are placed for availability. I dutifully called until this past week when I was sick.

This morning I called and had a rude CM....the first time ever. She pretty much scolded me for calling so late and informed me that they get at least 20 -30 calls a date just to see if there are cancellations. It's been a long time since I've had my hand slapped.

I calmed down, waited a few minutes and called back and had a different CM. All the difference in the world...this one was a disney gem. Unfortunately, there are still no sites available but I hung up feeling like she tried her best to check dates, etc for us.

So now I'm on the daily calling game for any cancellations. I can't believe this.

It seems like no one has got reservations for DEC 08 yet. There has been discussions about them not being released yet. The partial hookup sites are available. The latest so far has been Thanksgiving, nobody is saying they have Dec 08 yet.

Perhaps your rude CM thought you were trying to make Dec. 07 reservations and thats why the attitude?? I've had them make that mistake before but never got a nasty one! Lets all hope for some pixie dust so we can get something reserved soon!

It is frustrating calling everyday and being told "not available", "not released", etc....... Do not give up, we have 4 days now in Dec. '08 and I believe we will get the rest in sooner or later. We have had to go a day at a time to get 4 nights, getting the last one on Sep. 4th.

Don't understand "WHY" they release the way they do, to me it would be a heck of alot simpler just to stay with the 500 day out motto. I kinda feel for the CR's because they have to be frustrated too. They can't always answer the questions, especially the "WHEN are they going to release".

Hang on.......it might get even bumpier down the road.

Yea, we haven't heard of anyone getting late Dec 08 reservations yet, so don't worry, your time will come

Dec. 13th thru 17th. Just got the last night on Sep. 4th. Haven't gotten anywhere since. We are in Full, still looking to get Preferred.

I just reserved from December 20, 2008 till January 4th, 2009, I dont need all those dates but it won't let me reserv for less time. So when it gets close to the time of my trip I will cancel out some dates....

You must have gotten the only site available because I just tried that and, as always, it tells me no sites available for those dates.

Kudos to you. I have been trying so many combinations until I am sick. We are looking to get in prior to Dec. 20th and have gotten 4 nights now and then, nothing

I am interested also in knowing what type of site you got, the only thing that shows up is tent/pop-up.

Will continue trying, trying, trying.

I'm making my daily calls but no success yet. The CMs keep telling me to perserve and surely we'll get in but I'm worried.
