Ummm I just added about $500 to my original ressie...

we upgraded from CBR to AKL!!! My kids are going to be so excited. I think maybe I won't tell them until we get there.

We did a surprise trip and it was so fun (but hard) keeping it secret for so long!

Our trip is 12/21 - 1/2. My parents are staying 12/19 - 1/2 and my brother is 12/21 - 12/26. I was able to apply the DGP code to all our reservations. We are at CSR and sadly we had to upgrade to a water view room to get the discount . My brother and parents saved about $230 each. We, on the other hand, saved a whopping $30 . My daughter is 20 y.o. this trip so our discount was wiped out by the charge for the extra adult in our room but hey, $30 is almost 4 Grey Goose slushies and my parents and brother are thrilled so I'm glad I could help them out!

Woohoo I just called in and saved on our original reservation that is for December 19th Thru December 28th at All Star Music Suites a total of $474.20. My husband is going to be so happy!!!! Thank you to all of you who helped me with this

My TA just saved us a little over $200 for 12/3 - 12/8 at Yacht Club, 5 day hopper plus dining. Not a stunning savings but every bit helps. Call no matter what your dates.

FINALLY was able to apply the AP discount code from yesterday to my existing room-only Poly ressie from 12/8 - 12/18 and saved $743!!! Granted, it's only about 20% off - but hey, I'm not complaining at all! Especially when I was told absolutely not yesterday for the same code.

I used the Annual Pass code PWE for a Garden View room at the Poly.

For two magical Decembers in a row.. I say:

Congrats! That´s awesome! May I ask how you did it? I e-mailed my TA yesterday and asked her whether I would be able to apply the AP discount to my existing ASMU ressie but she said I couldn´t. I could only apply it if I changed my ressie to a preferred room at AS Sports but then the total price would be higher than my original ressie.

You're right - it was a $30 savings over our original reservation (which was a standard room) but yes - we also got a room upgrade so the savings would come out to be more. I was really only worried about seeing what came off of my bottom line - total due. I'm very happy to take the $30 savings!!!

You have to click on "tickets & Reservations" at the top of the page on Disney. com

Then on the Left Click on "special offers"

that's the only way to get to the discounted packages

I just was able to alter my MIL's room only booking at the CR in the Garden Wing in a standard view room, due to the fact that she's a FL resident. We got 12/10 and 12/14 to 12/19 at $210/night, so we ended up saving another $131 over the course of our stay on her room. The 3 nights inbetween we are keeping at the AAA discount rate. Corey and I don't live in FL, so we are keeping the AAA discount on our room. I wish a room only code would come out to save us a little more too.

Overall, I have to say being able to save my MIL a little more totally rocks! I also have an amazing CM on the phone who is making major positive points and reservations magic. She is getting us all set up to be able to put her into a handicap room and be nearby...guaranteed, due to her health issues and mobility needs, which is really important. It's really nice that this CM is going the extra mile to make it all work!

DRAT!!!!! I tried calling at 2pm for the AP rate for the Poly 12/9 to the 17th. All gone. It seems to me either there is a lot less rooms available for the discount rate this year or a lot more people going in December. I will be paying rack rate for the Garden view which is $382.50 tax included each night. I guess I will have a lot less money to buy pins this year. Don't think I am going to renew my AP this year. I will save some money and just get a nine day park hopper.

I am extremely confused by the AP discounts. My gf and I are staying a POFQ for 5 nights from 12/3-8. We got 20% through AAA when we booked in June. Is there a better discount out there now? Please clarify. Thanks!

There may be, you just have to call. Based on what the Disney.com site says, your dates are blacked out, so you have to call and ask. I saved more than 30%, so it doesn't hurt to call and ask.

I'm posting this for those of you who weren't able to get your discounts yesterday. There is hope.

Yesterday, I wanted to cry. I called Disney 3 times in the morning ...no discounts were available for my stay 12/9 - 12/16. In fact, was told there were no discounts at any value or moderate properties left.

Today..woke up with a raging headache at 5:30 this morning...decided to call Disney back since I was up anyway. My discount was available and we saved $404.00...I was also able to obtain the discount for another family traveling with us and they saved 393.00. I asked God to bless the Disney travel agent I was so thankful!

So keep trying folks...there is always hope!
