Please let me know if it saves you anything over the AAA rate. I am booked through AAA, and am wondering if it will actually be a savings to us or just a wash.

We have WL courtyard view with bunkbeds with 5 day parkhoppers and DDP booked through AAA. THey didn't have anything with the code avail at WL for our dates, but they did have the same package with a Savanna View BB room at AKL for $350 less. I think they are both the same at rack rate, so in that case, yes the savings is better than AAA rate....didn't work for us cause thay could only do 1 room with the code, and AKL just isn't our cup of tea.

My AAA TA called for me this morning around 10:00. Of course our WL standard ressie was not available for a discount for 12/3-12/7. At that time, we could have moved our ASMo 11/28-12/3 ressie to Sports to save $80 over our AAA discount.

For $15 night, I kept ASMo, but I was glad to know that's all I could have saved without making major changes to our plans.

Great ty for that info. I have to wait until the 16th for it to come available to the general public. I don't have a credit card. Then I will call and see what my TA can do for us. We may upgrade to a moderate.

I just emailed my AAA TA. I have to wait to see if my DD is going with us...she has exams that week (good planning on my part don't you think!). I already have POR booked for Dec. 9-15. I am hoping to get a good enough discount that we can afford a deluxe resort - maybe AK or WL. Or is this wishful thinking. I already got the AAA discount so I am not sure if the Disney Visa discount will be any better. I will wait to see what she says. Hope they don't book up too quickly, DD doesn't go back to school until Aug. 20. We are hoping she will finish up her exams on 12/12 and can join us for 3 days. Which will work out great. It will give DH and I some time to ourselves and DD a change to go to AK park. She has never been there before.

I tried this morning for those EXACT same dates for AKL or WL...

The only thing they had at WL was courtyard view, 6 nights + 1 day base tix (we have tix leftover from prev trip) for 2A/1C was $1704.37 - including dining for us was $2238.19

AKL only had concierge level left - I didn't even ask what the price was...

So I think we'll be at POR with you - 6 nights, 1 day base tix $874, with dining, $1407.

Yay!!! Just saved $414....I'm so happy. We are staying December 1-9 at CSR. I thought the discount didn't include these dates, but I guess I was wrong.

So all of my Dis friends out there..still call if your going the first week of December!!! It worked for us and I'm sure it will work for you.

Unfortunately, we tried to upgrade for a deluxe but the only resorts available was Fort Wilderness and Saratoga Springs. We tried booking the Poly, WL, AKL, BC, and YC with no availability.

But we did save $414!!!

We will still have fun at CSR!!!! And with extra money to spend.

This is what my AAA TA told me when she called Disney:
"Okay, so I am not sure what and how strict the 'restrictions apply' are.....but I checked the current hotel and the upgrade to Animal Kingdom and Wilderness and they did not have it available.....they could not even tell me the price assuming it was available....sorry!"

So it looks like we are staying with our AAA rate at POR. Not bad though and we can add DD for the last two nights for $20x2, plus park tickets. Not too bad.

We already have ressies for wilderness campground Dec 15-22. I am not a cardholder...waiting for the package discounts to come out. Does anyone know if you can use the discounts staying at the campground??

I read a lot of posts talking about the extended hours of Disney World indicating possible higher crowds than last year. Now, speaking for the 2nd weeks of December, I only see this in a few instances. I saved my Times Guide from last year and this is what I see:

MK:
closing an hour earlier on Sunday
open two hours later on Monday
open an hour later on Wednesday
open two hours later on Saturday

Epcot:
no changes

MGM:
no changes

AK:
no changes

As far as EMH are concerned, they are the same for all parks except MK, which extended the evening EMH by one hour.

I also think that because the night they are open really late is a Saturday, they might be counting on more FL attendance than last year. I guess my point is, I don't see the extended hours as being so drastic as to conclude that there might not be a discount for December.

LOL, that is pretty ironic. Do you have an inside source corwin? Anyway, seems many people are much happier today. I am happy even though, I don't have a visa, cause maybe I will luck out with the soon to come out public code.

Last year, the public code came out approximately 5 days after the Visa code came out. Even though I had a Disney Visa last year, I waited a little more than a week before booking the trip, well after the code was released to the public and I still had no trouble gettting 10 nights at PORFQ.

They can. The codes have to be valid for your dates and hotel but if they match up they can apply the code no problem.

I used the code on two existing reservations (mine and my brothers) and I saved a little over 520.00 on each reservation, December 8th - 18th at PORFQ.

ughhh I just waited on the phone for 10 min to talk to someone and they said that the system is down and he couldn't access anything, they are hoping its back up w/in the next hour and to call back. I tried to call this morning but after 30 min on hold I gave up.
Has anyone gotten luck w/this code at the WL the second week of Dec?? I am hoping we can find something, it would be so nice to save some money, we are splurging on a deluxe for our hm, we are used to the mods and values.
One more question, I know this package is for packages, and we already have tickets (left overs from May), but can you buy just a one day ticket and consider that a package?? I'm still so new to this....

Okay I have a few questions.

1. Are the codes the same for the Visa holders and for the public? Or are they different?

2. If they are the same, then if there are no rooms available for the deluxes the week I am going, how is the public going to get a discount? I have tried the Poly, BC, YC, AKL, and WL with no avail...as I mentioned before.

3. If the codes are different, could I call back and hopefully change my ressie to a deluxe (if available) using the public code. Meaning being up at the crack of dawn on the 16th and praying for a deluxe room open. Or can you not do that?

Can you tell I want a deluxe really bad?!!

Yay! Saved $240.81 for two adults at POFQ for 12/17 - 12/26 + 9-day tix w/ park hopper (no water parks). Does that sound about right?

We had to book a whole new package because I didn't have my Disney Visa yet when I originally booked. That's ok though. I got the exact same package but for cheaper (and 0% apr). Plus, Phillip with CRO was sure to put honeymoon notes all over the package (which perhaps will inspire even more magic). We're just so excited for POFQ.

Wahoo for codes! As we all know, every little bit helps. Here's hoping everyone else can use the general public one coming out on Thursday. Good luck everyone.
