I got the code as well (by calling in and asking). So I got prices and had them give me a hold on it. My hubbs listened to me tell him all about it last night. Then this morning commented about us not going to Disney World anyway. Hunh...well. But Hey I had a code.

We had booked 12/8 - 12/15 at ASMo. I called yesterday and asked the CM if there were any discounts available. She found a pin code attached to my name. The discount was good enough that I switched to AKL! So give them a call - you might get a deal if you ask the CM to look. I had to move my dates up one day because the discount didn't start until 12/9, but that was ok with me! Edit: Also, I had booked with a TA, so I had her call to make the change and she got it for $120 less than I was quoted!

Who did you call? What number? I'm going in December and would think I'd won the lottery if I called and had a great code.

Even though I actually don't think I want to upgrade hotels (this is a surprise trip for my DD and I got her input on our nonspecified next time and she oohed and aahed the most over the values). But hey, for the right price, I may could be persuaded...lol

No, I didn't. But I had read on a couple of other posts that people called anyway and asked them to check, so that's what I did. I really had not intended on staying anywhere but ASMo, but I have always loved AKL, so I asked for a quote with the discount and it was too good to pass up. (The discount for the ASMo was very good too).

Someone asked where I called - I called the number from the reservation page on the Disneyworld.com website: (407) 939-7675.

I feel a little bit bad because this hotel upgrade is totally for me! My boys (5 and 7) would have loved the ASMo because of Buzz Lightyear. But I really love the AKL and I think the kids will love the animals. And they get to stay in bunk beds - how cool is that!

Ok... another question: is the code good for room only or for packages? I have been researching renting DVC points & staying at BCV or BWV, but if I could get a deluxe with dining for the right price...

The quote I got was for a package, 2 adults and 2 children, with 7 day base tickets and dining plan. 7 nights, pool view w/bunk beds $2701.xx. When I subtract the price of tickets and DDP I get $169/night (including tax). Rack rate for that room is $250 (my dates are in value season). I don't know if it is good for room-only as I only priced the package (I wanted the DDP).

I don't know if any of your are following the other posts out there but I was given a package code . I do have the pin code attached to my name but the CM decided to see if she could find me the package deal instead of booking room only and came up with the above code for me. Others have been using it with success (those without pins). I'm booked Dec 9-16th. It's really nice not having to wait until August for a discount (we are saving 1030.00 off our week!) Good luck!

Now, for $300 or $400 more, I would definitely be switching! I guess I just have to call & ask.

My quote for the value resort was 2086.xx (with preferred room, tix, dining and trip insurance). So yes, I'm paying $615 more for the deluxe. But we justified it this way - we had budgeted/saved for the trip assuming rack rate for the value. I *thought* I'd get some kind of discount, but didn't want to count on it and underestimate the cost. Paying rack rate at the value our package would have been $2386. So at $2701 for the deluxe, we're only paying $315 more than we planned on. Yes, we could save ourselves $615 by staying at the value, but we decided it was worth a little splurge.

I was told the code expired on Feb. 18th. BTW - the code I got was also ZFZ. I didn't put it in my previous email because I thought there was a rule on the boards about posting a code that wasn't public. I didn't want to get kicked off the DisBoards!

I just got off the phone and I was told that you need a pin code for that 40% off promo and that I did not have one attached to my name. She checked my email addy and other info and said, "If you are going to get one you will". But she said that she had no idea how it was decided who gets them. I did not know about the package code when I called. I will try later today with that one. Thanks for all the info!

Bummer! I just called to apply the code to my trip (Nov26-Dec2) and was told those dates were blacked out. It figures.....Also I had to call twice. The first lady didn't want to give me any info. I called back, talked to someone else and she was VERY helpful!

Should I change views/resorts to go with the discount? 40% is a huuggeee discount!

I just tried booking the CR MK view with the code for Dec 14-15 and it was sold out as well. I settled for Bay View -- hey I'm still in the Tower!!! Maybe it will be romantic for DH and I on the balcony? lmao!!!
