I have to share. I originally tried to get the code for room only, AKL Dec 3 - 8, I called the morning the codes came out but was told nothing was available for AKL. Today I called back to add the Disney Dining and the park hopper option to our tickets and tried the disney dining code AND IT WORKED.

Original Cost w/DDP & PH added: $2524.51 Savanah Room, DDP and MYW 5 day tickets + PH option

New Cost: $1854.81 Savanah Room, DDP, MYW 5 day tickets + PH option

Total Savings of: $670.00

I am still pinching myself.

Moderates were $110 Standard, and $125 Pool.

I booked the AKL with the Pool View 5 nights Dec 13-18.
The WL was all book with the discount.

We also get the $75 Disney Dining Card.

Total Price was $955.
We will also get the FL Res 3-day Park Pass for $125 and MVMCP for $50 (for 2 people).

So Room+Tickets are $1328.

How does this sound? Any advice?

I know I am getting in on this a little late but DH has ok'd a weekend trip in December. I am now trying to find the cheapest way to do it!!!

We have a big trip planned in March to surprise DD for her birthday. We would like to go Dec. 7-10th and stay at a value resort. We also are going to do 2 base park tickets and the dining plan. We are going for the Christmas Party!

Also, we are AAA members. Any help would be so appreciated. My DD3 talks about WDW everyday and I would love to give this to her.

Hi, Aimee! I would try the Disney site and /or get in touch with a good Disney Specialist TA. I do know an excellent one who has discounted rooms blocked - the agency works with Disney. She can also check other discounts. She is wonderful! Or lots of people highly recommend DU here as well. Feel free to pm you'd like the name of agent or agency (www.allearsnet.com recommends them too ).

But you might have good luck on at www.disneyworld.com too.

Website has POFQ available at AP rate for my dates, but when I called the
CM said there were no mods available....I have Pop for mid December with the food gift card. I'll keep trying.

I just changed again.
Dec 13th to Dec 15th - Pop AP $59.00/$66.37 per night
we also get a $25 food card
Dec 15th to Dec 18th - AKL Std AP $145.00/$163.13 per night
we also get a $75 food card
Rental car: Alamo compact 5 days $79.01

OMG, I cannot believe this. All along, I for some reason thought my deposit was due today 9/1. I just tried to call my TA (couldn't find her number) so I went to my email and there is said, MUST BE BOOKED BY 8/30. Oh, my goodness, what have I done!!!!???? I am so upset right now.

Ack! This thread is 73 pages long and codes are buried all over the place in it. Can someone please make ONE post with all the different codes including AP, AAA and FL Res. codes? This thread was started in 2006 and it is way too much to wade through. Perhaps even start a new thread with the codes on the first post? I'm looking to book in December and I can't make heads or tails out of this mess. Thanks!

We currently have the 40% off a Value room from Dec 9th-19th @ $49 plus tax.

It appears as though this new deal which is $59 a nite would be the better deal because you also get a $20 food card.

Is that right?

I am packing for THIS trip right now or I would call and find out for myself. I am hoping that one of you budget minded folks here can give me the answer. A penny saved is a penny towards a Mickey Bar!!!

I didn't miss my deposit day!!!! Yea!!!! I made my deposit for our two rooms for Dec 10-15. Now if dd gets a better deal when she gets down there (probably a week or so) we'll cancel these, but in the meantime, this is a great price.

i used the general public code and decided to stay at a value resort instead of off property at a relatives house for our first trip. we'll see how it is

I am no expert but I feel the $49 per night is a way better deal! The $20 food card is not per night it is $20 total no matter how many days you are staying. You are saving approx $100 with your 40% off code so therefore, the $20 does not even come close to being better. Good Luck with your parcking!!

This post made me think about all the posts that are floating around regarding the confusing codes and lack of availability. I had completely forgotten that MANY people were able to book months ago with that code that saved them 40% off rack rate. They were also able to book their vactions without having to pay the "new" per day reservation change that was supposed to start in 2008 but has now shown up on all our reservations that were made with the AP, FL, GP, Visa and MYW packages this last month. So, to ALL of us that were NOT able to book the room/view/resort/dates that we wanted we can thank WDW for hand picking which guests were sent those cards or emails with the codes and we can also thank them for their CM's who allowed people, who did NOT receive those cards to use the PIN anyways. I am not trying to start a debate or WW3 over discounts at WDW I am just simply now realizing why so many people have had such a terrible time being able to make their reservation, there was simply just "no more room at the inn". One more quick thought...there will probably be a lot of people that end up canceling that had that 40% off pin code at the 45 and 5-6 day mark before their vacations. Maybe those of us that did not get exactly what we wanted should mark down those dates as they pertain to our ressie's and start calling at 7am the morning of 45 days out and if still no availabilty call 5-6 days before. You could even call the day before because as long as people re-book their vacation within 24 hours of check in, you can cancel and re-book for another date on a room only ressie...with NO penalties. Not sure how the packages work? I actually had a CM tell me once that to re-book for any date and then call to cancel at least 5 days before and they would completely refund our money as long as we re-booked within 24 hours of the original check in. I have not ever tried that but that is what she said. So there is always hope that people can and will get the reservations they really want. I know way tooooo long post, SORRY. But did you all know that with the pin code people were booking standard view rooms at the WL for under $135, MODS for less than $100 and values @ $49 per night? That code was GOLD!! If only ALL of us could have been so lucky. Hey, I am not complaining, I was able to finally get the resort that I wanted just not the view. So all is GOOD!!!!!!! Everyone enjoy your vacations!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!

It does kinds bite the bullett but I guess what are you gonna do. I am paying rack rate at WL because that is where I want to be and no codes apply except the food card.

I hope that I do not get socked with a per night rate on the December trip. I have it all printed out and am ready to fight if need be. This might be the end of our lengthy trips if the cost averages out to be a lot more than usual. We need the extra days cause we are extra slow.

Thank you, the luggage is on the pool table ready to be filled. The laundry is next door. A few steps from one to the other and the packing is done. It is all the rest of the stuff that is bothering me. My husband is just a passenger, in the car or in his life.

How are you?? I hope you enjoy your upcoming trip. I had to cancel my yearly september trip because of financial reason but my hubby and I are going 11/30-12/5 and staying at Coronado Springs because of the discount code that I received. I am reading great things about this resort along with the awesome pictures. AS Sports will always be "home resort" as I have stayed there many times. I am taking the 2 sons for the ESPN weekend early march and will be staying at AS Sports- can't wait!!

thanks so much. I knew I had read somewhere that my deposit was due the 1st (stupid me for waiting til the first anyway), but when I read my email, in the middle of the page said must be booked by 8/30 and i freaked. This was actually an ad for some 'freebies' if booked by then and over a certain amount. so no worry, all is taken care of.

lustergirl, well shucks and darn! I had you down on my list too. (the GOOD one) AND you will be leaving in December jus as we check in. Who is going to pick up all the stuff I drop? I was counting on you.

I am glad that you will be letting your boys out of the room once again. It is nice to give them an airing once in awhile.
