We are planning a trip Dec. 27-30. Do they actually do discounts this time of year? I thought they would be full and discounts wouldn't be needed. Should I book a room and hope or book the whole package deal? Till this year I didn't belong to this board and brace yourselves......always just payed rack rate

Book the room and hope for the best but generally, they do not give discounts this time of year. The cut off of value is the 19th and we are checking in that day to let the discount ride our stay.

Help me with the numbers please. I want to be prepared if a code comes out.At what % off rooms at the Poly would it make it worth the $$$ to give up the meal plan. We have 2 rooms for 6 days---5 adults and 2 children. I guess I should figure the $$ by saying we order the most expensive thing from the restirants we have ADR's at and go from there???? Anyone figured this out?

our current moderate package with meals is like 3600.00 anyone know what the percent is for a package discount from years past???

My TA said that he would be surprised if there was no discount for my pacakge when we go ( 12/18-26).


Anyone know the past history amounts?? I see it shows there are discoutns but no percents are listed.

If a deal comes out, you should be able to add dining to that package. If you are referring to free dining, that is an offer that historically has only come out in the fall, and is not likely to be offered in December. I wouldn't base any calculations on the hopes of free dining in December. You should be able to purchase the dining plan with any other package.

I am dreaming, but I am hoping for a room only code starting 12/24/07.

I no longer have an AP either. (when DD started college she and I stopped going as ofter). We are going to Punta Cana (12-27-to 1-3-08)with my extended family and DD and I are making a pit stop at WDW for 3 days as there was no way I could fly over WDW and not touch down for a short time.
Booked three nights at French Quarter (always stay at Riverside and thought we would try something different), but hoping for a discount. When we go at CHristmas we usually go the last day before Holiday rates kick in. Can't do that this year tho as that would be a lot of time off work.

What I was really thinking is if a 'room only' code comes out will I have to drop my dining package to get it. And at that point how much is my dining package saving me?
