AlwayslisaD - I think your dd talked with my dd. She said they had a nice chat and is looking forward to meeting everyone! I am glad they had a chance to talk beforehand. She has been talking to teriandcb's daughter too and I think she has another daughter the same age as your daughter. I was worried their wouldn't be any other teens on the ship, but it looks like quite a crew! See you Saturday!!! WooooHoOOOOO!!!!

My daughter (13) was also emailing early last summer then she went to camp for a month and then had her surgery with a full arm cast for 12 weeks and then school starting, she lost track of everyone. I know she is anxious to hear from the girls again - she is wondering what to pack (you know ... I don't have a clue, I'm an old lady!!) PM me and I'll give you our email address again! Thanks - we are so looking forward to Saturday.

Ok toes & nails are all pretty, all packed, door signs DONE, Magnets - ready to go...waiting on DH...he will be in tomm! Can you tell how excited I am??? :goodvibes

I even gave Minnie (our 70lb 8 month old puppy) a bath & she decided to wag her tail & shake off all over the place GRRRR!

Ccan anyone tell me about rebooking onboard? How much of a deposit do you have to give? What are the perks?

For a 7-day, if I recall correctly:

$250 deposit per person

$200 DCL Stateroom credit for the rebooked sailing
10% discount on cruise cost
You can select your cabin on the spot
(...and peace of mind that you have another cruise scheduled

You can wait to speak to the rep personally at the Deck 4 desk during their posted hours, or fill out a quotation request form, drop it in their box and they'll call your stateroom and/or drop off the information in your Fish Mail.

I think that covered everything!

Home today with my ds 6. He has an ear infection :sad2: . I feel terrible. Last week I took him home from school because he wasn't feeling well. I took him to the doctor Tuesday night. They said it looked like a bad cold and his ears and head hurt because of the congestion. All week he told me his head hurt and I figured it was because of the cold. I took him back to the doctor last night and sure enough he has an ear infection. They said it didn't look too bad though. I wish I brought him back sooner.

Katie I am so excited for you and your dh. I know this trip will be wonderful for you.

I am excited to meet everyone on Saturday. Are we meeting at 3?

Hello - just pm'd ya!!

Had my teeth cleaned today the hygenecist told me she was just getting oer being sick so she was wearing the gauze face mask. Oh goodie...just what I wanted to hear two days before flying out. :sad2:

Pack? What? PLENTY of time....we don't leave until 7:00 a.m. Thursday. Which reminds me I have to connect with Southwest in the morning to get my boarding letter.

Kitties get they vet check-up tomorrow night and prepared for our trip. They were entertained with a mouse chase through the house on Sunday. Smokey (who firmly believes they are self-propelled toys) caught it forst and let it go. Pepper (a former farm cat who KNOWS what to do with them) recaught it and paraded it around the house, growling if we got too close. He had a dilema when we presented him with a dish of his favorite food. You could see the wheels turning as he tried to figure out how to eat that while keeping hold of the mouse. He dropped it, I quickly put a cat food can over it just as he swatted back at it. I have the puncture would to prove I was just a wee bit quicker.

The rest of the day was spent by both of them patrolling the house for any additional invaders. Alas (for them) none were found..... :)

Anyone staying at the Hyatt the night before?

We have twice! It's so convenient the next morning (as well as being able to hop off the plane collect your luggage and check in right away).

When you check in, make sure you tell the desk that you'll be cruising with DCL. They'll give you an instruction sheet about your luggage and the time the check-in starts the next morning. Scope out the area where the check-in will be and plan to get there early if you want to hop on the first bus! It'a all very well organized and very comfortable.

We're a bit nuts, but we enjoy wandering around the airport after checking in (and there IS the Krispy Kreme stand in the food court!).

Edit: Of course I just re-read your post and you asked if any WAS staying...not if any HAD stayed before!

On the accelerated schedule for next week...

Wednesday at Cozumel...gotta love how blue the water is!

KT27 - I am sure the world will stop briefly when you see your husband tomorrow..I can only imagine how excited you are! We all share your excitement - have a great time tomorrow and enjoy every minute.

luvmykids - Glad to hear your son is on the mend. Our son gets horrible croup (non-viral). We just got over a case and are trying to keep him healthy...I disinfect him everytime someone looks at him, let alone breathe near him :rotfl:

Teri - Thanks for putting me on your magnet list. Shelby can hardly wait to meet Caity! She is so excited...it is like they are long lost friends. She was glad they switched pics. She was so afraid she wouldn't be able to find her. Sorry to hear about your DNiece. What a terrible consequence to pay. I am so ready for a break too. We will pray for a safe trip for you and the girls. See you Saturday!!

We finally got our travel docs today :woohoo: I know, I know, nothing special. It is just having them in our hot little hands that makes it so exciting. :Pinkbounc

This was us almost exactly two years ago (it was December 8th to be exact, which coincidentally is the same day we'll be at Castaway Cay once again). Now our family looks a bit different, as we have a 13 month old baby as well and I lost 23 lbs since that photo, not including the baby

.

I'm still not finished packing. We did most of it tonight, though, because tomorrow I'm getting the carpets cleaned and the living room MUST be clean. Getting my nails done in the AM as well. DH does a 24 hour shift at the hospital, comes home Thursday morning. Thursday afternoon I take DS to hopefully get his cast off, then DH will wake up and we will leave here around 10 pm (DH knows he'll be more awake if we start driving a bit earlier, and working a night shift the night before will get him on a night schedule to drive). I'll wake up when he wants me to, we'll switch and arrive at Downtown Disney sometime in the AM. Hooray! Then it's off to Residence Inn and swimming (unless it's raining, then I think I'll be fine just sitting in the hotel room doing nothing for one night)

For all those starting to travel toward HEAVEN - safe trip and my thoughts are with ya. For those of us that have one ( or more ) days till that trip - hold on - we are in the home stretch! :cool1:

Well I'm a little stressed right now. We might possibly have sleet and snow Thursday night. I'm praying that we will be able to fly out on Friday :sad2:
Just a little panicked!

Still haven't packed yet. Starting tonight.

Katie I'm sure you will have a great time with DH!!! :teeth:

I couldn't find state magnets, so I went with Christmas/winter ones.
