December 17 - 21 car deals?

We will arrive in Sanford on Dec. 17 returning home on Dec. 21. I need a compact car for those dates. Anyone seen any deals? Best I can find is $169 on Hotwire.

It's still a little early for codes for December, so I would check back in a couple months. My plan is to book the cheapest rate I can find right now, and keep checking for better deals as the date gets closer. Last trip I got a great deal off the VISA website for Alamo. But their current promotion ends in October, so I'll check back after that. Good luck!

On an Expedia link I found a full size for $15.99 total came to about $150 Early December, I did not see what a compact was but must be less. When I am traveling I sign up to get the Orbitz, travelocity etc specials.

Actually, the VISA discounts have been extended through 12/31/2012. Yes, that's 2012 for both Alamo and National. Unfortunately, it still says 10/31/11. Click on it anyway, and when you choose the offer you want, the new expiration date will come up. I booked my Nov reservation with the $30 off code and Alamo accepted it with no problem. Also, printed out he coupon just in case but when I clicked on "reserve now" the Alamo site filled in the ID and code atomatically, so I don't think this is an error.

I tried that, WOW It gives me a compact for $488.92. My family may have to walk. Sanford is an expensive place to rent from but I only paid $130 for a week in May.
