December 17, 2006 4-Night Wonder Cruise

I love SW!! I fly them all the time, I am flying SW for both my trips this year and twice in the last year. It helps that they let you make changes to the tickets without any cancellation penalties. I have been waiting for a DING and did get a 39 dollar for the return portion of my october trip with DD. But, paid 130 for the way down. I am still looking though! That might come through before long. :wizard:

I am so glad that my sis TammyAlphabet got us a great deal on our tickets...yayayayayay

I dance banana dance now!!

Oh, and by the way, hello again everyone! cant wait to see you on the dec 17th cruise!!! It's going to be a blast, and it's my first Cruise ever!! Im so excited.

Thanks! and later.

Yeah, I guess SW air wouldn't be so bad if you didn't live on one coast and want to get to the other! Going through God knows how many airports and plane changes!

We are flying Alaska Air direct from Seattle...but it is a red-eye! We'll see how that goes!

countdown to final payment and Palo ressies....9 days?!?! :hourglass

Marcy - Thanks for doing this! My DH (Denis) is also coming along. We switched in and out of this cruise, so we now have a Cat 6 guarantee booked. Hoping for a decent stateroom, but an upgrade would also be nice!

See you all soon!

I caught the cruise special on the travel channel twice but never in time to show the family. Anybody know for certain when it will be on again?

3 months and 2 days until the Mouse House.

Hello Everyone,

Well we're only 91 days out from cruising.

We're packed and ready to go... Go to the new house that is. Hopefully we can get settled in quickly and start to pack for disney.

I had better mention the rest of the family, so I won't get in trouble with them. wife MK , ds Juan 12, dd Sara 10.

Hope to see everyone soon.

I am counting down the days too. This will be my first cruise and I can't wait. I look forward to meeting up with some of you on the cruise. At some point we should put together a cruise meet. I don't know much about the cruise so I will have to defer this to one of our more experienced cruisers.

Hey there Ramon!
Have you been able to make any online ressies yet? We are CC members but I could not get Palo (or any) ressies. Wouldn't today be 90 days? OR would they consider tomorrow that benchmark? :confused3
I may have to call to make sure they know our CC numbers, our TA said we were all set, but...
Thanks for any insight!
Marcy

Adding an edit here---
I called DCL and she gave me the impression that my TA has not fully processed my final payment yet! She just said that I need to call them. Yeah, now I have to wait until tomorrow. You know, I have NEVER liked working with a TA.... I am the do-it-yourself-if-you-want-it-done-right type!

According to the information I got from DCL, CC members can make reservations tonight (tomorrow, really) at 3 a.m. Oh boy, what fun! :cool1:

No haven't tried yet for Advanced Reservations on the ship. Made all my reservations for Disney today with no problems.

I did get an advance packet from Disney that was sent to my TA with all sorts of info. Will check it out and see.

Well, Kath- You're right. We can make ressies this morning--- IF our travel agent had bothered to process the final payment last week like I requested!
ARG! pirate: no, not that kind of ARG!! :furious: Yeah, that kind!
This is the first time I have had a TA involved with my travel planning, I would love it to be my last!

Marcy (Stinasmom)
P.S. Guess Christina didn't log out last night!

Before I even got to work this morning, my TA was emailing me to make my reservations for the ship. I told her I already knew that and wanted to know my secret. I haven't told her how I knew it was time.. :)

Hello all:
We're booked for the 12/17 Wonder voyage too. After watching the Travel Channel special everyone in the family is very excited. It'll be me, wife, daughter (12 years old) and son (8 years old). We booked a CAT12 GTY so I'm anxious to see where we end up - I'm assuming in a room right below a dance club :) I'll put up with a bad room because the CAT 11 is about $1100 more than a CAT12!

Anyway, I do have a couple of questions:

Does anyone know the restaurant rotation for this cruise? I want to book a reservation at Palo but don't want to miss our night at Animators Palette.

We're doing the land/sea package with 3 days at WDW before and adding 3 days at WDW after too. I purchased the ground transportation from DCL - does anyone know if I can get the bus to deliver us back to our WDW hotel instead of the airport after the cruise?

I'm not woried about my daughter since she's pretty upbeat about things, but does anyone have any advice for a son (8) who thinks he's too cool for almost everthing? I swear he's 8 going on 15. Any advice about the Ocean Lab that I can pass along to get him excited?

It's our first ever cruise so we can't wait!
Thanks.

Hi Marcy! Did you get to make your reservations? I used DU, but like a dummy, I forgot that they don't process payments on the weekends, or maybe I paid too late. Anyway, they were good about making the payment first thing this morning, so I was able to make reservations at about 8:30 a.m.

I was surprised to find everything available! Got Palo brunch on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., plus Palo dinner at 6 p.m. the same day. I may try to switch the dinner to Monday night, but I am not sure.

Good luck with your ressies everyone! :thumbsup2

Welcome, singlemalt! Glad to see another 12 year old girl on this cruise! My DD is 12 also, but she tends to be a little shy. Maybe we can introduce them. :goodvibes

Unfortunately, you won't know your dining rotation until you get on the ship. Since your kids are fairly young, you may get Animator's Palate the first night, but there are no guarantees.

Sorry I can't help with the rest of your questions.
