December 15 a good time to go?

Well, we're considering changing our dates yet again!

We could go in December and the kids won't have to miss as much school plus we'd be able to stop and have Christmas with my parents and my DH parents which we haven't done in about 13 years. Our kids have never had a Christmas with anyone (we're military and move a lot!) other than us and I'd love for them to enjoy a family Christmas.

So we're considering going to Universal December 15-18. Is it crowded then, does anyone know??

it's not too bad, really! I loved going in December (except for right after Christmas). Crowds start picking up after the first two weeks in December, but not enough to ruin a trip.

I booked it today. We're checking out on a Saturday morning, so I'm hoping it won't be very busy...at least on the Wednesday and Thursday we're there anyways.

We'll have FOTL so it won't be bad anyways, but I was just wondering what the crowds would be like.

We were there those dates this past December and it was really great. The lines were not bad and the crowds small. It made it really nice and relaxing week to enjoy the christmas decorations, grinch, and parade.

I went with my 70yo Mom in 2002 that same week Dec 15 to Dec 22 and we had a ball, we stayed at HRH! The crowds were very manageable and everything was decorated for Xmas. Don't miss Grinchmas! Its the Grinch's story in the form of a stage show, its a hoot! We were there from a Friday to Sunday so we were able to watch How the Grinch stole Xmas movie by the pool at HRH. The day we checked out the hotel lobby was a madhouse of people checking in and I knew I made the right decision of coming the week before Xmas! Have a wonderful time I know you won't regret it.
