December 13, 2014 Eastern

Hello!

My family just booked this cruise today and are super excited!

Our first ever cruise was in December aboard the Wonder. We had such a magical time we decided it would be how we celebrate our birthdays in 2014.

We were in the fe and loved it, so please include us,

I also sent a request to join the fb page today.

We can't wait!

I fixed it. Just deleted your first post
It is easy to delete a past submit . I would rather if people have changes to make that they resubmit as it is easier to keep track of Thanks!:)

Looks like it was a great turnout!

I am sooooo excited! As a couple of you know, I had gastric bypass in May. I have lost 120 lbs since my highest weight. Since last year when we went on the Dream, I have lost 100 pounds. I still have approximately 50 lbs to go before I reach my goal weight and I fully anticipate reaching that by the time we sail! I am SO excited to experience a cruise from an entirely new perspective. To be excited about exploring things other than food makes me smile. To not be too tired or out of breath to want to explore the ship, walk around doing the detective game with the kids, get off the ship and explore the ports of call, run the 5k at Castaway Cay.....oh, there are so many things to be excited about!

Did any of you do the Castaway Cay 5K? Or, does anyone plan on doing it? Can kids run it (ages 8 and 10 at the time of sailing)?

Those of you who have been on the Fantasy, what did you love about it?

Wow! Congratulations!! I didn't know about the Castaway Cay 5K. I'll have to check it out. I figure I have about a year to get into shape for the cruise ;)

Hello
Can someone give a little info/background on the pink party and ornament exchange ? I've signed up to participate in both and I'm super excited! My apology if it's posted and I missed it.

Thanks much!

Thanks for the update Laura. I was wondering how everything went with your surgery & I am thrilled to hear that you are doing well. :)

For the 5K, I believe 12 is the minimum age that Disney allows to officially participate but I have read about younger children going anyways. It seems when that happens that they don't get a bib or a little Mickey plastic medal thing.

I loved everything about the Fantasy. Mainly the kids and I loved everyone we met - the crew and passengers were all great. The kids enjoyed the muppets detective agency, the little stateroom door for the king prawn (calling his room was neat since he had a joke of the day), and the new areas like the AquaLab were interesting to my kids.

We didnt know you could call his room for a joke. We had to get pics of his magnets. Loved it. How do you call for the jokes?
Oh, and have fun on your upcoming cruise:goodvibes

I think my DH is interested in running it!

If you have pictures of his door, you can probably see the information for it. I don't have all of my photos on my phone so I can't check it right now to say where it was. We discovered it on probably day five of the cruise so we didn't do it the entire time either. It was really cute though. :)

And thanks! I am ready for my vacation already (who isn't right?!?). Next weekend we head down to WDW.

I am still fighting trying to get Dec 20th off so I can officially book this sailing. I am debating just doing it and if they have a problem later, I can call in "sick" or beg or plead for someone to work my shift. I have to find a volunteer to work in my place on Saturday the 20th and I can't find anyone to step up and volunteer since it is sooooo far away. :(

My name is Sean and will e sailing with my partner John. We just got back from our December 14th. This has become our annual pre christmas trip. We are doing a back to back Dec 6 and this one. Looking forward to meeting all of u. :cool1:

Welcome Amy!!!! Before getting on fb page, you need to fill out the join us form. Thank you

I've submitted the form. I also included my Mom, Susie Jackson DisName: ZookeeperSusie, since we are in the same stateroom. I'll tell her to put in a request to join the FB page as well.

I'm so excited about the ornament exchange and the Pink Drink Party. :cool1: What great ideas!!! I have a question about the ornament exchange. Do you bring one ornament per person and randomly exchange or do you bring an ornament for everyone in the exchange?

Thanks!!!

They are nice little add on's to the cruise, aren't they?:thumbsup2 Yes you bring one Disney ornament, Robin or I will tag the ornaments as people arrive, then you will draw a number and she will receive the ornament with the corresponding number. $25 limit, although I think everyone can snag a great ornament for $25. Now if you and Susie BOTH wanna participate then you would bring 2 ornaments!
