We are excited about December 2014. We sailed the pre-inaugural last March, 2012, but it was so fast and furious it is all a blur. We're excited to have 7 full nights. This will be our 6th Disney Cruise but our first time to the Eastern Caribbean on Disney Cruise Line.

We will want to participate in the FE - so fun!

We have 2 adults and four children, who will be, so hard to imagine, but they will be 17, 15, 11 and 9. YIKES!

Looking forward to planning for this one. It will be here before we know it!

My kids will be 17, 11, and 9. Boy, girl, boy, perhaps they will become good friends. ☺

I am so excited to be on this cruise!!! We just switched from the Dec. 6th sailing to this one. There will be 4 of us sailing (myself, hubby, daughter and son).

This will be our 4th Disney cruise and 2nd time on the Fantasy. I will be traveling with about 20 other people as I've convinced my family to come with me. We'll be celebrating so much (our 10 year anniversary, 30th birthdays, doctoral graduation and anything else we can think throw in..).

Anyone doing Disney before or after the cruise? I know we're doing MVMCP the night before.

We just jumped on board too. Had to switch our dates and push back the sailing from February to December. Thinking we must be close to the same "life plan" as we're celebrating our 10th anniversary and my doctoral degree as well. Throwing in DDs 3rd birthday too.
Dh and I are a tad past our 30th bdays though.

Looking forward to sailing with everyone. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise but 1st on the Fantasy. We will definitely be interested in participating in the FE.

Just finished catching up on the thread. Hadn't even crossed my mind that the terminal, ship, and CC would be decorated for holidays. So super excited! May have to add a few nights beforehand at WDW. We switched to Dec bc of work schedules and did not even think about the holidays.

LOL - Well, if you want me to post anything on my cruise site, just let me know. I'm guessing you will eventually start an FB group for this cruise. That would be good, but does usually end up making some people feel left out, as there are still many who choose not to use FB. So I hope this thread also stays active all the way to sailing.

Mandersons04 - I doubt that it steps on anyone's toes. Having an FB group is great for those on FB (and I am), but unfortunately tends to contribute to a slow death for most meet threads on the Dis. Since we are still over a year out, those not on FB will miss a lot, as threads tend to become more active closer to sailing.

But if you start one -sure - I'll join!

Congratulations on your upcoming 10 yr anniversary! I still can't believe I'm coming up on 10 years of marriage! Hubby and I have been together since we were 17 and it just doesn't feel like it. I guess that's a great thing.

What are you studying? I'm studying Organizational Leadership with a focus in Human Resource Development (a mouthful right? ). I've always loved school but my doctoral program has challenged me in ways that I couldn't even begin to describe. I've pulled out more hair than I can imagine. I'll be done with my coursework this December and then on to my comps in January. And with lots of prayer I'll be done with my dissertation by late summer/early fall.

When there's been a FB group for a cruise, I've always made it a point to be on both boards. I do know that on our last cruise, everyone was pretty much on FB but I made sure to still check in on the Dis for the few that weren't. I'll wait until a few more cruisers chime in about a FB group for this cruise before creating one.

I tend to post both places also, but there are many FB addicts who completely abandon the Dis meet threads when there is an FB group. That is not guaranteed to happen, but it's certainly the trend. Even with those who check in both places, the chat and discussions end up primarily on FB because no one has time to duplicate everything.

But don't let me dissuade you or cause you to delay starting a group. It's inevitable anyway - lol. Thanks for volunteering to do that!

Not me, that's for sure! I run several pages and some groups on FB. It's does take some time and effort, so my "thanks" is quite sincere!

My second Masters focused on learning theory and emotional intelligence! Oxford's Master of Distance Education covered many of those paradigms as it related to adult learning. We should talk! I'd love to know how your comps went (I'm sooo scared).

Hi all! I officially booked the cruise over the weekend. It will be me, my sister, my Dad and his fiancee I went on a Disney Cruise last October and HAD to go again, since I'm single I decided it would be a lot of fun if my family came with me.
