Ever since I was probably 6 years old I have tried to peaked at nearly every christmas gift. I am horrible at waiting for surprises. So Andrea, when I saw your post on the main cruise board it was SOOOO hard to not open it. BUT, I showed restraint and didn't this time. :)

I knew it would be tempting- the title alone would make me want to read it! I was going to post it here and ask what our group thought but then I decided to TRY to keep it a surprise...:stir:

This will be our 11th cruise in 3 years and our 5th this year. We were on the a 7 day cruise back on 27 Sep 08 with some friends and she was participating in the "Fish Extender Gift Exchange". She had such a great time with it so I asked her for the link and sure enough it appears ya'll are having one also. Do you think my family and I could join? Thank you to whoever is heading this up. I cannot believe as many cruises as we take I had not heard of this. But after our last cruise it just seemed exciting.:dance3:

Welcome and of course you can join us...the more the merrier!

If you can PM me with your names, ages & cabin # (you don't have to give the adults ages-we just want to be sure that we know how many kids vs adults...) then I will add you to the list. Also we are going to take turns delivering our stuff so that we don't get it all on one day-if you have a certain day that you would like to deliver on let me know.

If you look at post #1 it has the link to the fish extender list and details about the exchange...
:welcome:

I just noticed that you don't have enough posts to PM me (by the way-to PM you click on the person's name to the left and select "send private message" and it allows you to send a note to that person only).

You can either post a few more times or just post your info here and I will add it to the list.

Thank you.....Teri and Frank-DH no children room 6624. We are from right here in Melbourne, Fl.:wizard:

Welcome Teri & Frank!
Great to have more DIS cruisers :cool1:

I have added you to the roster on page one.

I spent some time with my sewing machine last week to fashion something resembling a FE... I think I got close, but I am hoping it isn't too wide. Not quite done with it yet, but close. It is so hard when there is no craft store or even decent fabric store in town!

I can't believe how close our vacation finally is! I first started this meets thread in 2/07!

Welcome Amy and family. I have a DS 9 and DS 5. We are all counting down the days as well.

Wow, welcome to the newcomers!! We have two DD's, 4 and 2!

We have been super busy too, my Dad and his gf came and stayed with us and you know how that goes!

The kids made a count down calendar Sunday night with Mickey paint chip heads where they rip one off every day with number of days till we leave for Florida and underneath is a sticker surprise for them. That is the first thing they want to do every day!
We are getting close and super excited!

Hi all -
New to the Disney Cruise experience, so forgive questions if repetitive: a friend recommended we make our own magnets for our door, but what is the magnet exchange thing. sounds fun and a great way to get to know folks. appreciate info.

also, appreciate any other tips or links to tips for making the trip very personal and memorable for all in our group (feel free to PM me!) as this is our first time. Have the passporter book, but would love to hear other ideas!

cruise planning helps the get us through the rainy day...

Amy,
The magnet exchange is picking up magnets from your hometown or state and placing them on participating Disers doors, in exchange you would receive magnets from their hometown or state.

A real good place to get ideas for personalized door magnets is over on the Disign board here on the Dis. Those folks are very talented. We use the signs to decorate our door and it helps us find our room quicker...As they all look alike.:rotfl:

I also have a DS 10 who will be glad to know there is another boy close to his age in our group. We seem to have alot of girls and not so many boys. LOL

Welcome Amy!
You are in the right place to get info Disney Cruise Line!:thumbsup2

Take advantage of these forums... especially the trip reports! I love the ones that have pictures too. There are also threads about what to bring/not to bring, what to do at certain ports, and lots about Castaway Cay. If you can't find answers you can post up questions and get lots of opinions almost immediately!
Although, there are enough of us on this particular thread to answer questions too. Don't hesitate to ask anything!

I will add you to the first page of this thread...our roster of sorts. Also, on the first page is info about our Fish Extender exchange and how to join in the fun.

Welcome Amy & company! I have a DD10 & DD who turns 9 2 weeks after the cruise,DS7 & DD who will turn 4 on the cruise so we have some close in age even if their not all the same gender!
If you'd like to sign up for the magnet exchange or fish extender exchange you'll need to post names & cabins so that I can add you to the list, it's gonna be alot of fun. My kids had a great time delivering and receiving their goodies last trip!

We have a few veterans here so feel free to ask questions-the best advice I can offer is to not expect to do "everything" because that is the only way I can see anyone being disappointed and stressed out! Otherwise, feel free to be a perpetual planner like the rest of us (or take it as it goes?!)

Is it cruise time yet? I need a drink and some relaxation, lol
I spent my evening in the ER. Carrie came flying in here earlier because I told her I would get her some M&M's and she tripped on her own feet and went down as hard on the legs of the computer chair. It actually knocked her out for about 10 seconds! SHe hit it soooo hard and has a knot right in between her eyes, one on her right eye which also burst some of the vessels and a knot above her left at her eyebrow. They say there is no serious damage, she may have a slight concussion and watch her for the next 12 hours. Omg what a night! Her little face looks like she hit a brick wall...
