December 12 - 19, 2009 Western Magic

I guess I can't see that because I booked through a TA. I can see everything else though. I assume we have main seating since we booked way back in June... and part of the reason we chose this one because Main seating was still an option.... I do so prefer anytime dining (like on Princess).

Thanks for the info... I am so ready for Dec :)

If any of your info is missing please let me know. I have been sick and am just getting back into trip planning mode. Maybe we will have room assignments by Halloween.

Anyone notice that there are 11 GTY cabins on OUR FE list alone. THere are only 13 on the ship. Obviously, they are booking more than the 13 that exist--common when the ship is not selling out.

We're not on the list....kcashner (mom) DD (18) GTY.

Oh yes, that makes 12 gtys on the list. Since all cabins are allowing you to choose numbers, I'm guessing that these are all cat 12 gtys! Pixie dust to everyone.

Good Night all I will get an updated list together tomorrow. Looks like some of us will be getting an upgrade. No telling how many not in our group are also booked in CAT 12 GTY, which they are still booking by the way.

Remember there is still time to sign up for the Fish Extender exchange. It's going to be a blast.

Does anyone want to arrange a couple of meets. I could suggest Promenade Lounge on boarding day at 2:30 for a first meet. I saw someone suggest wristbands so we know who is in our group. Does anyone want to head this up?

On the last GTY - it is
Shoog - 5 total Aaron, Charmain, Brianna (11), Lexi (7), Zac (5)
we are actually not GTY, in 8032 - but I hope pixie dust finds the rest of you.

Hope you are feeling better

Make that 14. We're a GTY 12 as well and we have 4 in our party. :rolleyes1

We have a TA as well and cannot see the dining part either. We are waitlisted for Main Dining. I figure if we don't get it prior to embarkation, I'm going to Rockin' Bar D the day we arrive.

I can account for another Cat 12 cabin - Our friends travelling with us on the cruise are also booked in a Cat 12, though there are just 3 of them so no auto upgrade.

On the dining rotation, it looks like we actually cleared the waitlist within 5 days of us booking the cruise. We booked just before the 90 day mark, and I realized that a copy of the reservation printed way back on 9/15 said we had main dining already. So I imagine anyone waitlisted before then also moved up if we got it.

I saw a place on line thats at Key West where you can para sail for 34 to 40 dollars first come first serve or make reservations. They are supposed to be fairly close to where the Disney ship docks. Has anyone tried them?
http://www.furycat.com/key-west/parasailing.htm

Thanks for the info - after calling them we will most likely para sail with them. Anyone over 50 lbs can go up in tandem - now I can take all the kids and not leave anyone behind - reviews online are pretty positive - thanks for pointing me in their direction.

main dining vs late
Is there an advantage to having main dining? Since booking our cruise I figured late would be the best. Kids watch the show first. You have more time in port. You can arrange for kids camp to pick up your kids from dinner and take them after about an hour. Maybe its that we are on MST and I can't imagine eating so early. Or is there something more I am missing and haven't thought of?

You are absolutely right, for all the reasons you've given. The biggest is that "home" for you is not on Eastern time. Your 8:15 dinner would be 6:15 at home.

We like late dinner and request it for a lot of reasons, many of which you have given. The only downside to late dining is that you will not be hungry for the pirate or dessert buffets. If the kids get hungry late afternoon, go for a snack on deck 9 (there are healthy options available!)

Many families from the East coast like main dining, especially those with young children. We've done it both ways and prefer late!

I can't remember, and I tried searching, to no avail. Is anyone planning on going to Nachi Cocom in Cozumel? Or has anyone been there before? I was curious what others think about it. We're currently booked on the beach break through DCL but I was looking for a better beach experience with a pool that could also save us some money.

Anyone know how much taxis are from the port to/from NC?

I think it depends on what is best for your family. I have a 2 and 4 year old and there is no way they'll stay awake kids club/flounders or not until 9:30/10pm until we're done with dinner.

Our plan is to take them to dinner at 5:30 and at 6:30 drop them off at their club or flounders. And then pick them back up at 8:30. We probably won't see a lot of shows together as a family because mine are just not happy about staying awake no matter the entertainment.

Please remove our 3rd cabin on the FE list. It is the Daryl & Nancy cabin.

Thanks!

Come on guys, only a few more posts to the 500 mark. Who's it going to be????

Did you guys see my post about Nachi Cocom in Cozumel. Anyone else going there???

We never did name our group or make a logo..... any ideas?

How about "Penny Pinchers in Paradise"? Judging by the number of Cat 12's we have booked as a collective group, and the fact that I'm sure many of us are cruising this week because it's cheaper than cruising the following week but still gets us in the holiday spirit, we're likely a somewhat frugal group.

We could even make up a special P3 logo that will make everyone wonder and ask just what P3 stands for!
