December 11, 2004 Eastern cruise thread

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Xmas on the ship is great... this will be the 3rd time I cruise DCL during the holidays. The decorations and the tree are great, and I love the extra holiday activities, like the story telling and the characters in xmas clothes and the xmas caroling.. and especially making the gingerbread house with your family, its so much fun... and yummy too!

wow, just think of where we will be 5 weeks from today! I can almost taste the creme brulee!

That sounds so neat. I did not know that we can make a gingerbread house. And I too LOVE the creme brulee. I can;t wait for that. We went on the wonder two years ago for the first time ever cruising and I tried the creme brulee for the first time ever and LOVED it. I can't wait. Just think five weeks from today at this time we will already have had one dinner, one breakfast, and two lunches on the ship. Can you all believe it?

I also did not realize how much they decorated for X-Mas. I can;t wait. We are doing one whole tree in disney ornaments. I wonder if it can even compare to the tree on the ship. I got about 5 new ornaments yesterday and that makes about nine new ornaments for this year alone. It makes me want to decorate for x-mas already. I know I sound .

Hope everyone has a great week.

Jen

the gingerbread making thing is fun, and the neat thing is, both times I did it, they let us take it off the ship! They give you a bag to carry it in. I hope you still can take it. Otherwise, it's fun to eat it.

I think it's time for another roll call on this thread, seems like we have had a few new people join!

so, its me (26) taking my grandmother on our second annual Disney Cruise...we went last year at the same time, and it was a lot of fun, and very relaxing. Can't wait for this trip... she hasn't seen Golden Mickey's yet.

Hi all...Good Morning! I would be happy to make a roll call list if one has not been made yet. The list I made in the past included the following info:
Names of those traveling and ages(voluntary for moms!)
City/State you live in
Early or Late Dining
Deck you will be staying on
What number Disney cruise is this for you?

For example, mine would be...
Tracy (43) Doug (38)
Orlando, FL
2nd rotation
Deck 6
Cruise #7

If you would like, you can just send the info to my e-mail, I will make the list and post it. How does that sound?

My e-mail is trasee@cfl.rr.com.

See you soon!! ::yes::

Hi!Disneygatorfan,Does it matter if we have kids with us or not as I surely would love to make a gingerbread house to bring back to my daycare kids? That would be great if they let you take it off the boat.I will have to make sure I find out when they are making these. Thanks! Our last couple of times we went in May and September,so this will be our first time cruising this time of the year. Were you all able to go swimming at Castaway Cay last December?I can't wait!DH and I haven't seen the Golden Mickeys yet either.

TraSee I just you the information for the roll call. Thanks for doing the roll call!

Hope everyone has a great week!I am so ready for this week to be over as my sister in law and I are taking my foster nieces to Disney MGM studios this Saturday, and they have never been there before!

Hey all...thanks for the info for the roll call. I will work on it this evening and post. :chat:

I did make an error...I should have said "1st or 2nd" dining...not dinner rotation. Oops!

See everyone soon!

TraSee - just sent our info. Thanks for doing this. It will be great to see where everyone is located; and when they are dining.

Everyone have a great week.

Trasee,
I'm jwann's sister. She sent you my info. (Thanks sis!) I'm excited that we will all get to meet! I don't get to check the disboards often but I love to read and get caught up when I do. My sis tells me we got our Disboard buttons in the mail today (she takes such good care of me her busy and distracted sister). I'd love to know if there is swimming on CC in December....What's the verdict?

jhorner...
We traveled on DCL last December and went swimming at CC...well, my husband swam, I stuck my toes in. Being a Floridian, I am a little spoiled and if the water is cold, I'll wait until spring!! A lot of people were swimming...esp. the children :)

Disneyfan... no it doesn't matter, it's open to everyone. I've always done it without kids... it's usually predominately families doing the activity.

IF you are going to the studios be sure to go to Fantasmic and look for me. I'll be the crazy Merchandise Manager running around in the Fantasmic theater!

FYI, its supersoap weekend... so if your nieces like soaps, they are in for a treat.

disneygatorfan-Great!I will look forward to doing a gingerbread house.Yes,we are going to MGM studios for soap weekend. My foster nieces are 2 and 3,so they aren't into soaps yet,but both my sil and I are heavily which is why we are going this weekend.I am not sure if we will get to see Fantasia or not.We will have to see how it goes.I will look for you.I will be the one with two Japanese girls in a stroller<G>!

No docs here yet!

Maria

Disneyfan37 - Which soaps do you watch? I'm an All My Children girl from back in the days of Greg & Jenny. Walt Willey (Jackson Montgomery) is from my little home town here. I saw him about 16 years ago when we were both home for class reunions (He's 10 years older than me) He had just joined the cast then, and everyone was checking him out! It was the big event of the summer! We happen to be at Disney for Super Soap in 2001. It was fun, but I felt guilty dragging my 9, 7 and 5 year old boys around to see the soap stars. It was really hot and they were bored! Someday I'd like to get back down there.

I love Cameron Mathison :) ... super soap weekend is a blast, you will have a lot of fun. They have a lot of people coming this year too. At least a lot of CUTE ones coming :teeth:

I love him too! I read in a magazine that he has a degree in Civil Engineering and I'm a Civil Engineer! It's the big joke in my family (yes, even with my husband!) that we are destined to be together and talk about asphalt and stuff! I didn't wait in the HUGE line to meet him at Super Soap, but my sweet husband got some good video and I got some good pictures. (It's almost like the DH doesn't feel threatened. Does not believe he will come to the midwest and steal me away?) Anyway, the next Spring he actually came to another small town 15 minutes from here to open a Sears store! I decided that I had to go meet him.
We actually did talk a little engineering talk, but he must not have fallen in love at first sight! That summer he got married and now he has a kid! Oh well, Josh Duhamel is still single!!!

p.s. I never saw any students that looked like Cameron in my classes!
