December 11, 2004 Eastern cruise thread

I just booked today... thanks for the bump!

This is my second annual cruise with my grandmother.. She looks forward to it all year long. We went last December and had a great time.

I was hoping for a Western, but the dates just didn't work out. Doesn't matter.. I am on the cruise!!

Can't wait.. have to get my countdown going. I had to start a new account, since it's been so long since I been on the dis boards.

Wow, can't believe I got it booked so easily. Now just have to wait it out.

No, we haven't gotten our doc's yet!!!! We are always excited when the Big Brown Truck goes by the house. Unfortunately, it hasn't stopped at our house. I expect it to stop in about 2 to 3 weeks. Where are those doc's? :bounce:

:hyper:I can't believe we're already looking for our cruise documents to arrive! I know December's getting closer, but WOW. So much to do.....so little time.........

Yep - it's getting to be that time. My wife has decided she needs a new "Christmas-y" dress for formal night and has started shopping around.

Hi all!

Just confirmed my booking for December 11. My husband and I were originally scheduled for a cruise on Sept. 11th...but we live in Orlando and had to postpone it due to the hurricanes. We originally had it changed to April, which would have been an additional $1300! We just changed to the December cruise for no additional money...woohoo. AND the countdown to December cruising is much nicer than April! We have cruised many times on DCL and this will be our second Eastern. We are both looking forward to a lot of r&r on those days at sea:cool:

I look forward to meeting everyone:wave:

Have a great weekend!

I can't wait til December. The more I am one the boards the more excited I get. My aunt and her girlfirend just got off the ship yesterday and are now in Disney for TEN days. Can you believe it ten days. I can't wait to hear what they thought of the Disney cruise. Especially my aunt being a frist time cruiser.

They had enough film for 800 pictures. I wonder how many of them they are going to use for the trip. Can't til our cruise 42 days and counting.

Can't wait to start playing those games.

Thanks momto2dkids...we are so both looking forward to this trip...after our three hurricane hits and a crazy work schedule...well, I can already taste the souffle from Palos and feel the steam from the spa!!:jumping1:

I recently booked and joined this thread.. I was wondering if we could get a role call of who all is going...

it's myself and my grandmother.... we are both from Florida

it's our new tradition of a december cruise together.. did it last year at the same time and had a lot of fun!

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to our new additions.
TraSee - living in Stuart FL I know what you mean about being ready for this cruise!
Looks like we have a few groups from good ole Florida.

Mom & daughter here so 2 adults (sot of LOL)

Thought I was pretty much ready clothes-wise; but after seeing smchan's post a Christmasy dress does sound good. Hmmmmm

6 more weeks! Almost time to start watching for the Brown Truck.

Have a great weekend

Hello to everyone new and to everyone alrady on the boards.

I can't wait to see the truck pull up with our docs.

It is my mom and I sailing on the cruise both adults as well. It looks to me as though we will have a bunch of us from the boards on some of the same excursions. The Coral World looks to be the most popular.

Well I just wanted to drop a line, I am trying to avoid writing my paper that is due. This is what I do instead of writing. I write to you guys. I wonder what dinner rotation we will get. Come on Dec.

Speaking of docs, someone is reporting the 12/04/04 docs are arriving now, so ours should be coming very soon. :)

is this anyone's first cruise?? or first dcl cruise?

I am beginning to consider myself a dcl veteran... this is my second 7 day.. went last December and had a great time, minus one rough sea day...

Still waiting on what stateroom I am getting... all I know is CAT 5 GTY. Oh, to sit on my verandah... only 40 more days!

Anyone doing parks before or after?

Good morning all.

smchann - that is great news!

Jen - get going on that paper! The sooner it is over; the closer the cruise will be.

We are two adults who request early dinner and our rotation has always been LAPLAPL. I forget if you said you had early or late dinner; so not real sure this will help you.

Have a great Sunday everyone.
