December 11-15 Crowd question

So excited...we planned are 2nd trip this year (we went end of January and had such a great time...had to do it again)! We're going December 11-15 (Sat. night -Wed.), splurged again to stay at the Disneyland Hotel and actually went ahead and paid for the preferred room rate, which I was told when I called is the rennovated rooms. Very excited!!

All that to say...I'm getting nervous about our dates and crowds (Sun.-Wed.). I orginally wanted to go the week prior, but the DH couldn't give us all the dates we wanted. How bad do you think it'll be? Oh, I'm hoping!!

From everything I've heard (read) weekday crowds shouldn't be too bad still that week. It seems crowds get progressively heavier throughout December but weekdays are always lighter than weekends, especially non-peak.

I do look forward to answers from those with more actual knowledge.

I also don't have any actual experience but we are going the 7-14 and hoping that it will be not too bad crowd wise. It has been said on the christmas thread that there are dance groups dancing in the parade on the 10th. The filming is being done in Nov but they are allowing more groups to participate by giving a second set of dates for them to choose. It has me pretty worried that the crowds might be a little heavy that weekend and the days around that weekend. The hotels are already showing an increase on rates for Fri, Sat, and Sun of that weekend.

Oh, that makes me a little nervous. So hoping at least the Mon-Wed. won't be that bad! I think we got spoiled going the end of January this year...it was wonderful! Practically walked on every ride...longest wait was Toy Story Mania for 30 min.!

We'll be there for our little guys bday that weekend. I've heard about the dance groups too hoping it doesn't interfere with my favorite parade.

We were there last year that week, Mon - Wed, and had a great time. I thought crowds were very managable, especially compared to our trip in October. It was quite chilly, which I LOVED! We're hoping for the exact same conditions this year.

Oh good to know! We loved the weather when we went in January too...especially being in Arizona, a little cool weather is nice! Thanks for a little encouraging news!

We will actually be there on Saturday with my daughter's dance group. The girls will be in a workshop for most of the day and then will dance in the parade at 4:00, which means Saturday will be filled with mostly their family. However, you will have the spillover prior to Saturday and maybe a little after. Good thing is that it will clear out by the weekdays, so you should be able to enjoy the park more so. Have fun!

Thanks for the info on the dance groups. We will be there Dec 13-17 and was hoping to hit it just before things got too crowded.
