December 10, 2006 - 12/10/06 Wonder

i was wondering the same thing, i guess it is up to us two minnie to keep the thread alive

I suppose I passed a milestone of sort. I've bought the trip insurance. I did it through insuremytrip.com, so this must mean we're edging closer to a cruise.

Okay...I nominate Minne of Two Mice's offer to purchase the bracelets and be reimbursed. I think she is nuts for offering (haha), but I am all for not mailing stuff out myself. I NEVER get to the post office.

Here are the votes as of tonight, Wednesday, 9/06. It is looking like the middle ones.

So far:
2 votes for the middle one
2 votes for any of them

I agree, voting should close maybe on Sunday night.

Minnie...you did a great thing writing all of that down about our groups. There are more than I thought! I have seen a couple of people on other boards talking about going and have pm's them asking them to join us. One of them was even talking about the 'other' cruisers on the Magic on the 10th. Didn't notice until I sent her the message, haha!

I did not buy trip ins. I so hope I don't regret that decision!

Did you guys see the upgraded amenities - new beds, new bathroom stuff? And the Wonder goes into dry dock next month, so she will be completely cleaned and refurbed for us in December. Whoo hoo!

Kristen

if there are any pooh sized people i found a site with great pirate costumes and good prices too, i am excited

O.K. yall...I will tell you how ridiculous I am. I have one suitcase packed that is just cruise stuff to keep it all together. On the other hand we are leaving to go to Pigeon Forge, TN in the morning(short trip just until Monday) at 6:00 A.M. and I dont have the first thing packed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will order our stuff Monday and ship out as soon as it comes in. No need for reimbursement, it is my VERY cheap gift to yall. Not that I dont think yall are worth more, just what you wanted!!!!!!! ;) ;) ;) I have to go pack...I will be back about midnight, just to check in.

I did buy trip insurance. We are insurance poor, but just as soon as I didnt take it out I would need it.

ok guys i'm off dtr was sratche by neighbors, dog so i am really ticked off right now, i need to stop being mommy and flip into lawyer mode, dog just running outside, no supervision at all, i am lucky dtr protected my 3 year old neice, night.

are there two ships leaving on the 10th on another thread, someone said they sail on 12/10 and they are on the magic, the port will be very crowded if that is the case.

We will be purchasing the trip insurance. It is a cheap form of comfort IMHO. Neither of us have any major medical issues (that we know of) but if we got hit by a bus etc in Nassau, the insurance would pay for itself many, many times over.
I will look both ways before crossing the street, I promise!!!
:cool1:

Heeeeey! :surfweb: So, did we make any decisions on our big group game of tag? I was thinking that we could all make a small magnet for everyone's door and then maybe we could each have a BIG green Mickey head on our doors that others could sign when they deposited their magnet from their home state/employer/town etc.
How many are we so far? 10ish?
Has anyone else started working on their door stuff yet? I am bewildered and lacking a theme. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I really, really need to stop buying stuff for our trip. This weekend I gave in and bought a pair of shoes that are a bit out of control. Think clear Barbie shoes that have lights in the heels - I won't be hard to find!

DH thinks I'm nuts to be working so hard to get everything planned and purchased (so early) before the very last minute. It seems like the last few months have FLOWN by. It's September for goodness sake! :yay:

Happy Thursday All! Sorry I have been so quiet - I will try to keep our group visable, too!

did anyone else buy trip ins, i chose not to.
Bought it the day after I booked the cruise!

Trip insurance from Travelaxe on INSUREMYTRIP.COM is only about $100. If there is a medical emergency, a helicopter ride is over $25,000. Not only is that covered, but the days you miss on the cruise is probably reimbursed.

$100 is CHEAP insurance in case of a catastrophy. Like life insurance, I hope NEVER to have to collect on the policy.

ps. What's OLCC?

My kids are dressing up (full pirate costumes-they are all obsessed with pirates!) DH and I are considering it-not sure at this point

I sent the seller a message asking if she would combine shipping, but maybe it would be better if we all buy a set (I think there are 8 at 1.99 ea with $2.00 shipping, so $4 total). NOt a bad deal to have that hurdle out of the way :-)

Or these (although they are not lime green)

Okay, now I am officially obsessed:

i like this idea, but i am not creative, if someone could make one i would gladly pay for it, or tell me where i could buy a door sign

I feel like I've missed out on so much (3 whole pages to read!?)

We have trip insurance through AAA (it was so cheap and with 4 kids something is bound to go wrong)

The dollar tree store in our area sells a package of 15 glow sticks for $1. I buy them all the time to take to Disneyland.

I like the green class of 2006 bracelets, but not the class of 2006 part. I'll look around and see if i can find something similar around here. BUT if Minnie wants to get them for everyone-that's great too!

I think I answered everything....WHEW!

Wow!! I missed a lot!! I love the bracelets. I like the 1 or the 3rd option. We did buy trip insurance. I am very clumsy!! :rotfl: My in-laws and BIL will be able to join everyone who is going to dinner on the 9th.

I am sooooo excited!! :cool1:

2 votes for any - here are the rest. It is looking like #2, unless a darkhorse takes the lead :-)))

On a sadder note for me, I found out tonight that my cousin and her family and my aunt and uncle will not be coming on the cruise - they cancelled. :sad1: :sad1: . But on the bright side, they are going to come to WDW for the 3 days before and stay, so I still get to see them. So, that is 4 or 5 less people for me (I forgot who I had listed and am too lazy to go look right now!).

Trip insurance is not something I would typically buy, but most conventional wisdom on these boards seem to indicate that it's a sensible thing to do. I've read a lot by people who posted that they ended up either having to use their insurance due to a delay, lost baggage, or medical emergency.

Hence I opted to buy insurance though insuremy trip. I also know that we will be covered for any emergencies for our u day land stay after the cruise.

Paid in full today, booked palo for dinner took 7pm slot for 3
