December 10, 2006 - 12/10/06 Wonder

Where is everyone? I know yall are not packing. I am guessing school stuff. It seems like a busy time of year. Well I have 100 bracelets and 4 addresses. If you read this, please send me your address. I would like to mail out at one time. Does anyone know what kind of weather is in nassau and castaway cay in December? Is it the same as Florida or do you think it will be even more of a chill off the ocean? It may be a silly question, but I need to know. We are a cat9. I was hoping maybe for an upgrade but reading the thread about the rooms, I think I am going to be happy right where I am. If I am not and you know something I dont please tell me so I can upgrade myself!!!!! I dont think we will be in our room that much.

i guess not everyone is as excited or eager as we are, i think some of them have cruised before also,

Those who are participating in the pre cruise dinner, what do you think about this place, i called and they have a childrens menu, and we all get 10% off with and out of state liscense, if this is okay with you, quote with your name and the number in your party that will be attending

I am posting to keep us on the first page of Cruise Meets! :thumbsup2

Ponderance for the day:
Is anyone else concerned about what their desk will look like when they return to the office after the cruise? :scared:
DH and I will work December 1st, a Friday and not return to the office until Monday, December 18th. That week is only a four day week and the following week we only work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. (by no means am I complaining about the very few days we will work in December)
I was out of the office FOUR hours yesterday and the whole place fell apart - can I just share with all of you how much I fear returning from vacation on the 18th? Not only will I have the post-cruise-blues but I will need a shovel to find my workspace. :rotfl2:

If you all see me crying as we debark - it's not really because of the giant Mickey telling me that he will see me real soon, nope, it's because I just got a picture in my head of what my desk looks like at the office!

Happy Wednesday All - our countdown stands at 73 days, 21 hours and 13 minutes! :cool1:

I'm just as excited but have a good excuse for not posting... Sat I cut my finger opening a soup can and had to have 18 stitches. I cut it to the bone on the backside of my index finger-so I can't type very well. I'm lurking. Just not posting (IT TAKES TOO LONG & HURTS!)

OMG!!!!!!! I sure hope you are ok. You are so lucky to still have your finger it sounds like. I cant imagine how hard it is to do everything. I will pray for your speedy recovery. I was all alone last night and noone was posting on any of the threads I am normally on. My DH had to work with his guys to get a job finished until 1:30 in the morning. I cant sleep if he is not by my side. I went back and forth to mouseforless and disney cruiseline and back to the threads. It is so funny, because I used to never be on the computer and now I cant wait to check it. Every now and then my DH says something about it, but then he will turn right around and want to know what everybody is saying!!! I am so glad the weather is starting to act like fall. In Memphis it has been so HOT!!! I love the fall and winter. I like the spring but in the summer it is just too hot. I am a air conditioned babe.

What type of work does eveyone do, what is your field?

Attorney of course and a teacher, my students are killing me

We both own our own businesses. I am a residential general contractor. ( I build houses) My DH is an electrical contractor. He works on commercial and industrial wiring. I have actually taken a little break and have been buying foreclosed homes and fixing them up and selling them. I build higher end custom homes. (5000 to 8500 square feet is the biggest I have built) Obviously, well to do people. Although I have been fortunate to have wonderful customers, they are spoiled. I have to hear them whine because they dont wont to pay for the expensive stuff they want. And yes, I have told them the same thing. You would not believe the book sense but NEXT TO NOTHING when it comes to common sense. After nine years of nonstop work, and some health issues, I decided to take a much needed break. I have to admit though now that the kids have gotten use to me being home alot more and they like it, I am missing building!!!!!

We leave on the 9th and I am not back in the office until the 26th, I live in dread as to what I'll return to.

On that note...is anyone bringing your laptop (or work) with your and/or your work phone to the parks (not the ship!).

I have a feeling I will be as I always carry my phone and I will be in the middle of my last semester of school, so I will have to be able to access my courseroom :-(

Where do you go and wat are you studying

We will carry our phones. We are undecided on the laptop issue at the moment. We will be current when we leave but as usual if it can happen it will while we are out of town. It never fails. Luckily, we recently hired my DHbil and he will be here if a problem arises.

i say no but i will probably bring my laptop, cell phone absolutely.
