As I read over everyone's posts it seems as if the majority is cruising over the next 2 months. I was curious to know if these up coming cruises are a first for any of you? Or do you just like cruising around this time of the year? Sorry for so many questions. As you can see we are also cruising in November but it will be our first. I like to vacation at this time escpecially because Disney has the Christmas decorations out. I chose next years cruise because it will be the Western itinerairy.

Hi ya'll! It's just me, DH, and DD (chichihoney) for this trip. I really wanted to include the rest of my kids and the grands, but there was a time conflict . I will be taking the rest of my gang cruising in Spring of '06.

tink1663 - The cruise we are going on next month is our first. We like this time of year because it is cold around here (Chicago) and want to go somewhere warm. It also helps that we can get pretty decent rates, too!! As for KY and mom, they have both done Disney cruises before. This November will actually be the first Disney Cruise for both my family and HOP's gang of girls! Don't worry about the questions, we are a very chatty bunch!! LOL

Hello out there! We have too have just returned from our first cruise. All I can say is WOW. It was a vacation to remember. These boards were so very helpful that I know I would have been lost without all the info I have obtained. I really felt like I had an advantage over other newbies. We also have early seating but I do not know what our rotation will be. PLAP was what we had this last time.

Then we will not be alone!! We will get the REAS package again and set our dining rotation before we go. It was just too hard to book things not knowing where we would be on any given night. I, too, felt like I had a wealth of knowledge from the boards. On the night before we got off the cruise, as everyone was preparing their luggage, I went around with address labels for everyone. I thought my brother was going to bow at my feet he was so happy he didn't have to fill out each and every luggage tag! He was just complaining to his wife that it will take an hour to fill them all out. Then, I knocked on the door. I was his savior!! It was pretty funny. My brother is not the planner in the family. I just tell him where to be and when to be there. He drove this trip and made several stops along the way and on the return to stay a couple of days with relatives that they don't see very often. Before he goes, I give him his package all set with directions and all. He was very prepared. It was a well planned trip if I do say so myself. The one thing that my husband commented on being a great idea when we got there but thinking I was crazy about before we left was the over the door organizer. He just didn't understand. Once we got there and unpacked and the bathrooms weren't overflowing with junk everywhere, I swear he worshiped me! Ok, for those of you that know us.. it was more like... good job honey!

Our first Disney Cruise was 11/27/04 (Eastern) and We loved it! We rebooked on the ship for this Western!

3 Of Us Will Be Travelling: My Daughter KeAlani (she will be 3 at time of sailing), my mother, and I! DD will be old enough for Oceaneers this time around, hoping to get a lil more "me" time in...*smyle*

These boards are phenomenal! I found them about a month before our Nov cruise...don't know how I'm gonna stand the wait of a year til the next one! hee hee

Welcome! But I have to warn you! We are a pretty lively bunch. Most of us just cruised on the November 11, 2004 cruise and survived together. We now seem to consult one another before booking another trip to make sure it works for everyone. As for Pat, she was just a late bloomer but thanks to the good graces of Sarah (and mom and dad), looks like she is joining us after all. Looks like I will have to let dad down easy... Dad, you see... we need you to stay home now. We have all our friends going with us on this cruise, how about you re-book for the next one? At least the next one has 2 stops at Castaway Cay!!! ... You think it would work??

Did I not tell you my Formal Gown on I10 story??? OMG! Here I've driven 2,000 miles by now, we're 1 1/2 hours away from my MIL. And lo and behold, my dog gone roof top carrier flies open!!! And what should fly out but my gown bag!! In tact. Along with a WDW bag filled w/ cotton candy and other such things. Well, I start jogging up the hill toward my gown bag because it's a road hazard. Everyone is careful to avoid it, and then I was literally waiting to jump out and get it when one mean ole ** purposely ran it over. Popped the bag wide open, ran over my beaded gown. The gowns are fine. It was just mine. You know, the one I paid $$$$ for? As opposed to the gowns which I found on the cheap. I gathered my tulle, along with the cotton candy, put the tulle in the back of the car and duct taped the carrier closed. Pulled out at slow speeds, only for it to happen again. More duct tape and slower speed found us at my MIL's safe and not so sound. My kind BIL took me to buy tie downs for the dog gone thing and we made it home, me and my tupperware full of beads.

So....it's going to have to be a new dress for me. Unlike some women, this does not make me happy.

No, didn't know about your gown - good thing it happened AFTER the - it really was a beautiful gown, would a glue gun help?

And I used the 'massage' tecnique to tell Tom about my upcomming trip with Sarah and Gang. Remember how well it worked on the cruise during our REAS Couples Massage? That is where he learned about the on-board booking of the <a href="http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=685164">November 11, 2006 - MAGIC - Special Western "Double Dip" Cruise</a>. Since he took it soooooo well then (he still is telling people about THAT one!) I thought a repeat massage would be the right moment to mention this additional trip .
