Dec trips who's going?

Hi

We will be at AKL on 11/28 and 11/29, then we are "going home" to BCV from 11/30 till 12/5! We were there last year at the same time.

The family can not wait to go back and enjoy MVMCP on the 2nd!

See you then!

George

Dec 6th-13th the whole family 8 of us at BCV our first time Home:bounce:
Dec13th-21st Just DH and I at BWV
We can't wait:bounce:
Also have already purchased MVMCP tickets going on the 9th.

Have a question, the CM told me when I purchased the MVMCP tickets that if the weather is bad (rain?) that I could go to the Guest Services and ask to exchange them for another night. Does anyone know about this? I have read some of your post saying how you had a terrible time because of the weather, were you offered this option?
Thanks, Brenda

Maybe a better question would be "Is anyone NOT going in Dec?"

We'll be at WDW Nov 28 through Dec 7, including our second BCV stay Nov 29 - Dec 5. Planning to spend the 28th with relatives, and Dec 5 - Dec 7 at a non-DVC resort TBA.

We've been going to MVMCP since 1992, and have hit some pretty wet parties. Temps in the 30s and 40s, rain, fog & clouds. In spite of this, the show went on, nothing was canceled, and no exchanges/refunds were offered. The tickets explicitly state that they may not be exchanged due to weather.

OTOH, we were victims of the December 12 deluge last year, for which Disney did offer refunds or exchanges. This was because all of the special MVMCP entertainment was canceled by Disney. It's the only time we've ever been offered refunds/exchanges for a ticketed Disney event.

And since I was the one who picked last year's worst party, DW gets to pick this year ;)

My wife and I have reservations for our 2nd trip Home to BCV (We just returned this Saturday from a two week trip). We will drive from PA, arriving on Xmas day and head for home on Friday, Jan. 2. My sister who lives in NYC has been invited to join us (she turns 60 on Dec. 22nd, and has never been to WDW), but I'm not sure if she'll make the trip. We're obviously looking forward to another trip so soon after the one we just took. Hopefully there is some warm weather, but I realize that we must pack for a variety of conditions. Regardless, I'm sure we'll have a great time. I think we'll avoid the Magic Kingdom; I know we will on Xmas day! Hopefully, especially if my sister joins us, the other three parks will not be TOO bad.

We are going to be there Dec. 10 - 14. Last year we were there around the same time. The weather was rainy, but cleared up enough for us to go to MVMCP on Friday night (Thurs was a washout). The temps during the day are nice, but be sure to bring a sweatshirt, jeans and a light jacket. We did the marathon weekend the year before last (early Jan) and we FROZE it was that cold!

Dec. 22 is MY birthday, too!

We will arrive 11/30 and leave 12/15. By then we will really be ready for a nice long Mouse Break. Staying at OKW. Requested Turtle Pond area but will see where we land. MVMCP on 12/2 and 12/14.

There are a lot of RAPD, Passporter, and All Ears activities planned during this time.

Don't forget the DVC annual meetings.

We have never had bad weather on any of our Dec trips and in 2001 we had temps up in the high 80's in the day and low to mid 60's at night. Except for the last night when we went to MVMCP it was a tad chilly but it could be the fact that it was so hot during the day to. We have never had a day of rain during a Dec trip mind you it seems that every Dec we skip going to WDW it is a cold year there or a wet one so maybe we have figured out the weather patterns there ya fat chance of that.

We'll be at BWV Dec 7-11. Looks like there will be quite a few of us there...don't forget your green ribbons!

DH and I are at VWL 12/27 through 1/2... my birthday (the 30th) and our first NYE at WDW! We've gone early December a few times and we usually avoid the crowded periods, but we just had to try it once. We did Vegas NYE a few years ago, so we're ready!

We will be checking in Dec 29 and checkout Jan 2. My DH, DD and myself will be spending the New Year with Mickey and gang.

The excitement is incredible around my house at this time. Are the fireworks even better for New Years then the rest of the year?

We will be going "home" to the VWL. That feeling you get as you enter the building is awesome!

See ya there!
