Ok, I have officially lost it. We are going in April but I'm even working on some plans for our Dec or Jan trip. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
We went last year the week before Thanksgiving and it was great.
Because value season is not until after Thanksgiving this year we won't be going the same time as before. We were thinking around Dec 3-11.
We are worried that now that there is no value season before Thanksgiving that more people will be going the first couple weeks of Dec.

Our other pick is anytime in January but we are worried about the weather and lots being closed down etc...
We love the lower crowds and the not so hot weather.
What do you think? Which would you pick?

I would definitely recommend early December. All of the Christmas activities are going on, and the weather isn't as iffy as it is in January.

We've been at both times and would recommend early December for the low crowd levels plus Christmas decorations and activities. Early January is equally, or even less, crowded, but the weather can be cooler, and there do seem to be more things closed for refurbishment in January than in December.

Another vote for early dec and theMVMCP!!!!! It's a can't miss if you've never been to it, really gets you in the x-mas spirit....and those decorations

I would go the first week of Dec. We did this last Dec and it was great. Loved the Christmas decorations. Someone I work with went last week and said it was cold.
Good luck with your choice!

I'm glad you are all talking me back into the first week in Dec. That was our first choice but started getting worried that it would start to get more crowded than in the past.
We love the Christmas decorations at that time of year.
The only thing we were concerned about was growing crowds at that time. Seems to be getting more popular.

Need another one to encourage you to go in early December? I've been both times-early December in 2003, but this past year I had to wait until January. I'm so glad to be able to go back next year in December-lower crowds and much more to see before Christmas. I missed the holiday storytellers and CP.
