is there any week sun-thur in Dec that is less crowded, I would like to go to disney with the family around my b-day, or would the week after Thanksgiving have less, we have done spring break crowds and don't want to do that crowd

We always go the friday or saturday after Thanksgiving through the following weekend. Starting that Sunday and through the week the crowds are really low. No long lines. I love that time a year to go, it's all decorated for Christmas and MVMCP is going on too. We are going again this year!!! :flower3:

When do the MVMCP tickets go on sale? A friend of mine told me they already were on sale. Not sure where she heard that.

I don't think they go on sale till maybe April. Disney.com should give more info. But I don't even think the dates are out yet. :jester:

Check out this chart which shows you (based on history) what the recommended best days would be:
First column is crowds (0 being low and 10 being high). The 2nd column is best park...3rd column is worst.

I finally got my husband to agree to trip in Dec. I am so excited! This will be our first trip at this time of year.Watching all the christmas shows about WDW this year really gave me the bug. Anyway which week would you choose Dec 2-9 or Dec 9-16. Thanks all.

The week before Christmas was fantastic this year. Judging from the recent trip reports on this site, it was actually less busy than other Dec weeks.

Where did you get this chart from. I would like it from the Saturday after Thanksgiving through the following Saturday. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :flower3:

Hi! We are planning our first Christmas trip too. We were thinking about Dec 2-9 but found out that is Pop Warner week. So we changed to Dec 9-16 staying at POFQ. Flying out of Manchester- love this airport, so much better than Logan. :dumbo:

NH Mommy- We have booked a week at POR for the exact same dates as you! This is the first trip to WDW for my DH, DS (11) and DD (8). I am so excited to see the kid's reactions to the world!! I am so looking forward to MVMCP and all of the decorations! We will be coming from Sioux Falls, SD on allegiant airlines.

My DH and I stayed at POR in 2001 and loved it. We stayed in the Alligator Bayou section. The landscaping is beautiful at this resort. You will have a blast. This time we are bringing our DD3 and thought we would try FQ. The boat ride to Downtown Disney sounds like fun (they were not running the boat in fall 2001) and we might try the carriage ride too. So many choice so little time.
We plan on attending MVMCP too. I can't wait to see the snow falling on Main St and watch the parade.
:mickeyjum You should try to fit in a character meal. We went to Chef Mickey's for dinner and the characters are great. Book this one 180 days out so that you will have you choice of time.
