Hi,
Planning our first trip to Universal and have been looking at different crowd calendar. Our preference is to arrive Mon Dec 15 and depart on Friday Dec 19. The crowd calendar shows these days as "busy". The week before shows the days as "slow". Anyone have any idea how accurate these calendars are and if we stay on site, should the calendar even play a role in what days we arrive/depart? Any guidance is much appreciated.

With Diagon Alley opening this summer, I think you can throw any past crowd calendars out the window. It's unknown just how many people DA will bring into the parks but I don't see any such thing as a slow time period once it's open. If you can stay onsite, you should. I expect early entry for DA at the Studios to be announced once open and early entry for WWoHP at IOA to continue. Other than that, it's anyone's guess right now as to how busy the parks will be.

agree..I think that traditionally slower times may not be so slow and busy times will be even busier. At least for a long time after Diagon alley opens this summer.we are going end of November /beginning Dec and it is a traditionally slower time.We are expecting much larger crowds than what we have experienced before

We were there in December from 14-28th. The 1st week was a lot quieter and we got on all rides with a maximum 20 minute wait, apart from the minion ride which was still over an hour !!!! The park did not seem over busy it was great !
The 2 nd week was a lot busier and was even given fast passes just to get into Harry Potter world !! We still got to do a few rides but with very long waits !!!
