We just returned from Spring Break at FTW. This was the best camping trip we have ever taken and my little one did not want to leave. All he wanted to do was ride his bike, enjoy the pool, and go looping with mom and dad. I want to book for Christmas but this being April, it’s a little late for a Christmas booking. Currently the only thing available is a partial hook-up for which motor homes and fifth-wheels cannot be accommodated. We have a 24ft HTT – do you think Disney would boot us out of the partial hook-ups if we showed up with our HTT? I have been checking daily for another site but so far have not had any luck. I am debating if I should book the partial hook-up or not. It would be a pain not to have a sewer connection. I would book a cabin but they are over $400 a night. I will keep my fingers crossed that there is a cancelation…

You would have no problem staying in a partial with your hybrid. However, no sewer would be a pain.

There are no dump stations at the Fort either. You would need to bring a portable dump tank along, then call the front desk and find out which empty full hookup you could drag it to and empty.

However, as you know, the Fort has GREAT comfort stations, so you could minimize your use of grey water by showering at the comfort stations.

I would keep trying before giving up on a full hookup at the Fort for Christmas. Our first Christmas trip to the Fort in 2003 wasn't booked until April but popularity does seem to be increasing. Now I try to book when the reservations open up 499 days out.

As Carol says you can use the comfort station for your showers. I do this even though I'm in our 5er. I just like the extra room at the CS. I've never had a problem in the preferred loops getting in a shower, I think there might be a bit more competition in the partial loops.

Call everyday, and take what they have available to "piece" togther the time you want, if its only a day at a time. This is what we had to do in order to get the week after Christmas. I think I have four separate reservations just to get that whole week.

Patience is the key.... Its a relatively "long time" from now till then. People's plans change....

Call atleast once a day. Also, have them check for a longer period of stay than what you want and don't worry about full hook up, preferred, or premium. If you want to be real specific, you have to book a year or so out:santa:. Then call back and cancel the days that you don't want. We went last December and finally got reservations when we called in September. You just have to be persistant and maybe a little flexible on your dates. The entire month of December is wonderful. The beginning of the month is less crowded.

Keep checking. We have 15 nights booked the first of December in a premiun site and it is looking like we may need to cancel. I won't cancel until I am 100% sure but it doesn't look good.

Welcome to the board, McPackers!!

I sent you a private message. Please take a look at it!

Keep checking. I have 2 different reservations for Christmas. One for a full hook up and then moving to a preferred site. Don't give up. I checked on line and when I found some thing that worked I would call and change my reservation.
