And hugging the porcelain prince might be the same as we say "hugging the porcelain altar" which brings me back to the cookies and if there is any connection to this my first guess was wrong.
Brill or Brilliant = awesome
Chav = trailer trash
Shattered = pooped out
Knackered = also pooped out (must be that whole northern latitudes thing for sleep deprivation...
T*sser = a not very nice thing to be called (ABSOLUTELY -- not to be confused with Tossing one's cookies -- LOL!)
Marmite = a not very nice thing to eat on toast
Rug = horse blanket
Tons more obscure horse terms that I won't bother everybody here with and oddly *well -- to me at least*, my English horsey budz tend to have potty-mouths. It is VERY liberating!)
Thank you Horse & Hound Online for helping me to become me a Citizen of the World!
p.s. -- That was an English "Oi!" not a Yiddish "Oi!" but it kinda works either way...
I wish you a great Disney trip in December, it is my favorite Disney Season. I wish the DVC timeshares were not so competitive to get at this time, without a lot of pre-planning.
I grew up with my Buby (grandmother) who made home made chopped chicken liver from scratch, using the hand cranked grinding machine, the schmaltz, it was the best ! Now I am content with Beef Chopped Liver, but it isn't quite as good, and comes from the Deli.
What I really miss even more is her Kreplach ! (Peasant version kind of a chicken ravioli, but way better than that sounds).
just returned from a business stay in Sofia, Bulgaria and I am proud to present a totally new giblets recipe in addition to chopped liver. "Fried chicken hearts". They also don't look very nice but smell quite good and as long as they're hot taste quite good. Though I wouldn't recommend to eat a whole plate.
Guess it will also need a lot of chickens for a Bulgarian family dinner
Started to open my advent calender today, as there are only 24 days left to our vacation!!!!!!!
