Dec 27/08 NYE Western Cruise - Really New Thread

Yeah, Claudia!

Brian and I are home alone this evening...Mel's playing tennis, Chad's at Lou's, and Jesse is at the movies. I should be mopping my floors, but I can't get moving. I should be grateful because at least there's no carpeting, and I can't stand vacuuming. I'd rather mop any day than vacuum.

Tig, good for you and John for giving blood.:thumbsup2 I did it once, and I didn't like the way I felt afterwards, so I never did it again.:guilty: Sorry to hear about Penny's boo boo. Hugs and a lick to her from Brian.:goodvibes

I think I'm going to snuggle up early tonight. I cooked so whoever wants to eat can have it waiting for them when they get home, so I can call it a night. Sweet dreams, every one.

Yes I did Artie! ... we came home with three!

I got stuck in both arms  The first guy couldn't find my vein...after he poked me down to the muscle I asked him to have someone else try the other arm. Hubby donated for the first time ever that day!

We got two Flyers Jerseys and a Wings lacross jersey :teeth:

I tried to get a jersey for each poke but they wouldn't give an extra one up, John was sitting at the snack table for so long he just went up and grabbed another one for me ::ssst::

Aisling, John was feeling a little lightheaded, I told him they are serious when they want you to wait and eat before you go. I indulge in lots of juice and cookies before I leave and even took a couple bottles of water with us for the car ride. He was still a little off in the car but recovered pretty quickly.

When you gave blood last, were you per chance a lightweight at the time? I find the tinier you are the higher the chances of your fainting after giving blood.

Gotta head off to work now...Happy Monday my Magic Mateys!

:lmao: Yes, I was! By much! :lmao:

Don't work too hard!

I was thinking that my 'new do' wasn't that much of a change - but swim parents over the weekend were like - wow -

It still has some purple in it too

Hope everyone had a great weekend

I am tired of cold and my toes being cold all the time

Marla, maybe it wasn't much of a change in itself, but it really made you look different, more up-to-date in style, you hot mama you!

By the way, I also have a new doo, had my hair cut into a short bob, not even touching my shoulders! I haven't had hair this short since I was 5 years old, but I like it a lot.

OMG I just saw I have a new tag! How the hell did the Tag Fairy find that from some way back post I wrote! LOLOLOL

Hey Aisling - I tried to order the Photopass CD this weekend but everytime I got on the photopass site was down. I will order this afternoon so if you got some time to update pictures, etc. feel free and just let me know when you are done.

Anjelica, I'm going to take a look now. I know the password, but what's the email again?

Happy Belated Birthday to Ryan!

THANK YOU dear friend...I will pass it on to him!!!
Brenda, I love destination weddings. Jen made a great choice. She sounds like she inherited her organizational/planning skills from her mama! Keep us updated.
i sure will - as soon as her "website" is complete & ready i'll pass that on so you can check it all out!!!

About Facebook, Myspace...I tried, I really did! I created accounts and then deleted them. From what I can surmise, these accounts are so people can find you, and the last thing I want is to have a ton of people from my past (who I'm happy to be away from) contacting me and knowing all my business and seeing my photos. And yes I called tiggie a pain!:p

Eileen and Anjelica, the stingray cds are in. They ended up making 3 copies for us anyway, even tho we all chipped in for one! Adresses needed, please. Rus and Ryan, you too.
You need our address? 9121 Padova Drive Gilroy 95020

We have a cruise booked for this Christmas, but we are about 80% sure we are going to push it ahead and go to California instead. I am beginning to feel the need to plan something. :scratchin
OMG - i hope you'll have a little free time for us Cali friends! Either up in our area, OR i have no problem heading to the DL area in Dec....i'm sure Chel, Rus & hopefully the Skjerven's would be to as well....???

I'm cool with waiting until everyone gets what they want. Keep trying Aisling.

We are missing all of you guys, we talk about you all of the time (good things of course). :grouphug:
Artie...loved all the photos and really miss you all too....

Chel and Brenda are going scrap booking this weekend in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I'm staying home alone.:cool1:
Chel & I had great FUN but Rus was home alone MISSING his wife very much...Dale was home alone MISSING his wife as well....BTW - i started on the cruise album...i completed 14 pgs & we haven't even left port yet:rotfl2: yikes.....maybe it will end up being 2 volumes....

Ryan didn't go to his Senior Winter Ball this year  no way was he going without his Juls....but she is doing well and he got to go see her on Sunday, and gets to again this coming Sunday....

hope you are well - i MISS YOU all so very much!!!

Oh ya - hot mama that is me - ha ha ha -think everyone was so used to seeing my long hair all over the place

And yet another snow day here - ugghhhh

and they are saying we are really going to get snow 'dumped' on us in the next 24 - 48 hours - maybe up to 2 feet of that white crap - double ugghhh

School here is out of snow days which means tacked onto the end of the year - we lost days last October from the winds of Hurricane ike which blew down power lines pretty much through the entire state

Kara is working on pictures - hopefully she will be done soon

We will finally be able to use our new Christmas present - mom got us a new snow blower for Christmas

Aisling/Chad/Artie/Claudia - got the photopass CD ordered. Should be here within a week. I would have had it ordered last Thursday evening/Friday morning but their site was down for quite a bit.

Cold as heck here today - and we have about 6 inches of snow/sleet/freezing rain. I would much rather have 12 inches of just snow then all the sleep/freezing rain - but that is what this area is known for - the ice.

oh no....the thread has gone "COLD"....just checking in to see how you're all doing. Think i found flights to Cancun for Jen's wedding...using miles to get our tickets...well mine for sure, hopefully Dale & Ryan's too but can't book theirs till we know where Ryan will be going to school....really hoping that Dale will be able to stay a few days after the wedding - we can have a little R&R time for us...hope you're all doing well

Howdy all

been busy - plus dealing with the lovely storm we got - first about 3 inches of snow then about 3 - 5 inches of ice and then about a foot of snow - bleah bleah and have I mentioned that I can't stand snow, ice, cold etc

I haven't been warm since we left Florida - told my mom that we need to move south and not just for the winter

another than I am in a whiny mood - nothing else new

sure wish the kid would get it into gear and finish up the pictures - that is what I get for letting her do it in the first place -

Still haven't found that darn cable she lost

Hi Kids,
Today was a fun day. I drove Chad to the airport...he's in North Dakota now visiting my brother and fam who are finally moving to England this Sunday. Chad will be driving back my 2008 Chrysler Town and Country minivan...I thought it was a Dodge Caravan, but I hit the jackpot with the T&C. It's bigger and has a better reputation for being low maintenance.

After I dropped him off at JFK, I kept on going and going upstate with Brian to pay a surprise visit to my daddy. It was 3 hr drive, not too bad. We stayed the day, and I just got home now at 11 PM. Jesse's at the Matallica concert in Jersey and won't be home until late.

Kelly, I hope you check in soon. I'm beginning to worry about you.

C'mon gang, my thumbs are raw from all the twiddling!

Hi Aisling!!! sounds like a fun day...and congrats on the new T&C - how nice of Chad to go & drive it home for ya....hopefully the weather will be okay for his drive....

not much going on here tonite, ryan is staying with friends in watsonville - so dale & i just hanging out....i might try to finish up the journaling on the Italy pages i completed last weekend....once that is done, i just have to have them printed, put it together & present to the school.....:thumbsup2
