Dec 27/08 NYE Western Cruise - Really New Thread

I like those Mickey ears for the stateroom door. I know I have the dimensions somewhere, but all of a sudden it feels like I have no extra time to make them.

After going back and forth a hundred times, it's final that we're renting DCL tuxes for my guys. To take their suits, we would need two garment bags to fit the suits and the formal dresses, in addition to the regular luggage. I cancelled my massage and seaweed wrap (Yes lol I was going to be wrapped in seaweed!), and those cancellations were about enough to pay for the tuxes. I really didn't need the massage, as I go regularly anyway for a lot less $$$. ohhhh - those seaweed wraps REALLY REALLY SMELL badly

I'm thinking of dressing up as a pirate dude instead of a pirate chick, just for the fun of it. So I won't be needing that pre-cruise lip wax afterall.

My gym trainer called today (I haven't gone in over a week) and he told me if I don't come in every day from tomorrow until the day before I leave for Florida, I'd better stay in Cozumel and don't come home.

Tomorrow I have to have my purple formal dress altered, as it's too big. Nan, I'll be needing you, Brenda and Louise to help squash me into my spanx that night! Don't worry, I don't have a shred of modesty! we're right here for ya

nice shoes....going thru my closet tomorrow to see whats going....renting ryan's tux too...& then he probably only needs one other pair of slacks & a couple of shirts for the evenings

Who's setting up the private tour? Is there room for me,I don't think we are going to dive in Grand Cayman.

ME - just let me know if you are going or not ASAP and how many people - need to get final count to Nativeway very very soon (meant to do it yesterday but ended up with some issues at work, etc.). They need to know so they can setup the transportation from port to the boat and set aside the proper vehicle.

Santa Claus makes a trip to the Wilderness Lodge lobby on Dec 23 from 11:30am - 5:30pm and Dec 24 from 3:30pm - 9:30pm.
Mickey & Minnie make an appearance in the lobby on Dec 24 & 25 from 2pm - 9pm.
A PhotoPass photographer takes pictures in front of the lobby Christmas tree from 4:30 - 9:30pm.

My kids are gonna freak when they see that Molly and Wilson aren't "little kids" anymore! Good for you getting out to get the Santa pic! Keep the tradition going. The kids are adorable by the way!

At the hs swim practice - the head coach lit into all of the swimmers for not showing up at the mandatory dive meet Thur night

The dive coach showed up at the practice and as a thank you for coming and supportng us gave Kara a good size tin of peanut butter chocolate fudge and the divers that were there were all thanking Kara for coming and supporting them

Then a bit of crap from the other seniors on the team - every year - the seniors get to order a special sweatshirt hoodie - the one assistant coach said in passing to Kara - guess you didn't want the hoodie - Kara said huh - the order was due last week and none of the other seniors even bothered to make sure Kara got her order form - the head coach heard this and he was livid - he hauled the senior co captains out of the water and chewed them out up one side and down the other

Kids - they disgust me to no end any more

Ryan (& his sister) start their diving classes today - & he will be certified, but with a dive in coz, gc AND epcot we were looking at $435+ for dive excursions, so figured 2 would be fine for the week - coz & epcot...so ry will probably just go touring Grand Cayman with Chel & I...& Claudia if she's going....Rus - you don't want to tour GC with us?

i suppose he would prefer that over shopping (even tho we also plan to see as much of GC as poss)....but i won't be able to ask him till this afternoon (he's at his SAT subject tests this a.m. - then straight to Aptos for dive class)...have you already sent anjelica a msg to see if you can get it? If so, i can send her one later if that is what Ry wants to do...i'm 99.9% he'd rather go with you than Chel & I

Please don't shoot me... I could do it one of two ways - the first is I can just divide 700/13 and each person pays 53.xx or still divide it by 3 families and add 50.00 for the 5th person of your family - HOWEVER what may make the most sense now that it appears Rus and Ryan may be going is to take the total cost of 15 (800.00) and divide that by 15 which essentially gives us the same 53.xx per person. Will that be ok? I know I said 217.00 per family but this would then make it about 265.00 for yours.

Woo hoo, I must be more mathematically inclined than I thought...I got Artie's example on the first read! (Actually, it was easy because I always look for the "twist" in whatever he posts!)
