Dec 27/08 NYE Western Cruise - Really New Thread

I found a Bollywood movie on TV! Yay! I love Bollywood!

Ryan is home tonite & we are watching Ghost Rider - i LOVE Nicholas Cage

I lucked out with the Bollywood movie because I rarely watch TV (except for the news). There never seems to be anything on that I like. So this is a treat for me.

I was just thinking, wouldn't it be nice if our culture had us dressed in the beautiful Indian clothes and jewelry!

I have no idea how i ever missed Ghost Rider in the past....love Sam Elliott too...even tho he is getting a little old these days...it was good!!!

THREE weeks from today & we're cruisin around KeyWest!!! still deciding whether or not to go get a Xmas tree - i suppose i should get one today & we can spend a little time each night decorating it....Ry won't get home till LATE TONITE...his scuba class has him there today from 9-5 & then he's going to Julia's for her baby brother's BD party....Dale will put the tree up & the lights on for me...but that's as far as he'll go....and it means that i have to take it down when we get back....

We put up our tree last weekend and will take it down on the 21st before we leave.

Just wondering what the prices are for a natural 7 foot tree in different areas? We got ours from an old guy at our church that has a tree farm. We go in November and tag the tree and then go back the day we are putting it in to get it cut down. All this for the low low price of $15.

We got our luggage out today and started packing.

That tree price sounds very reasonable to me - but haven't gotten a 'real' tree in years

We aren't doing a tree this year - too much work for the little time we will be home this year

Ya, that is very reasonable, I think he has been charging the same amount for the last 20 years.

We're getting our tree today. We've always had live trees, and the traditional Frasier Fir 7 foot goes for $65, but then you bargain them down to $50. Expensive because we're in the city?:confused3

Natural 7' tree, I still use my 6' silver aluminum tree with the rotating 4 color light.:confused3
Michelle started packing today also. I threw in my 4 t-shirts, 2 pairs of shorts and my flip flops, OK I'm ready to go.

us either. We got our neighborhood outdoor lawn tree, 6' I think $15. They are bought in bulk and dropped on our lawn, might even use that next year for inside, so easy....I'm feeling bad about not putting up lights outside, but I just don't want to give Paul the headache of having to take the down when we get home. We totally worked on cleaning and organizing the garage yesterday and this morning Paul is taking pics for ebay and craigs list, stuff to sell...go kart fund...or is that my drink fund for the cruise

we've paid over $90 for a 7-8 Noble Fir...the only kind i'll get....we're going today to get a small tree - 6-7 only & better be less than $40...i guess a tree Xmas eve & day will be nice...Dale will HOPEFULLY keep it alive while we're gone...or he can take it down if he wants...only putting lights & one set of ornaments....not getting out all the ornaments - not getting out any other decs either...just that!

PS...Anjelica - Rus - Aisling & Nan...Ryan DEF wants to go with you all on the Nativeway tour rather than going shopping....

Chel...if this sounds more fun than shopping to you - i'm game - i'm up for anything....

We got our PS for Jiko on 1/4/09 and Ryan and I will be diving at EPCOT on the 5th.:cool1:

so got a tree today...about 6 ft tall is all - not as big & full as i like, but i ONLY paid $15+tax:woohoo: that's my kind of tree for something that is only going to be enjoyed by us...no gatherings going on here....

started packing - have 2 potential dresses for NYE...one mine, one was Jen's...& 2 other dresses for evenings....ALL of them are black:rotfl2:

will get most of my packing done then start on ryan's....
