I just went and put in those codes and it said that Alamo was sold out of cars at MCO for the dates Dec 3- 13! WOW! Never had that happen before!

So weird. My sister used those codes for 12/3-12/11 today and it worked for her.

I had the same problem. I think it was coupons codes. When I took them out, I was able to rent a car.
My question: Renting a car for a few days. Orlando Airport and drop off is Disney. My g/cert's are for either National or Alamo(can't remember till they arrive next week). Dec. 13-17. What deals are out there for those dates? When I use these coupon codes do I need a print out showing the code from the web site it was found on? I don't want to get this super awesome deal with a code or two, then get there and find out , opps you need a paper copy. What about the extra insurance? Does any one get it? This is only our second time ever renting a car, so lots of questions.

just did a check for dec 6 - 14, it is coming back at 110~

base rate 99~

extra day 14~

35$ off coupon

continental airline coding

pick up at 1pm return 11am ( seems using the split time PU DO seems to give the better rates.....noon is the earliest time that gives good rate but the extra time on day of departure changes the base rate a whole bunch....up to 186 frowns )

and once again if you use 11am to 11am ...the cost comes back much higher at 207 as base rate goes to 186 and 25 extra day


Play around with your PU and DO times ....it seems if you can PU at 2:00 and DO at 4:30 you get the good rate but two extra days.....so total is 126~

Prices still stuck at previously booked rate or higher. Beginning to think I'll be paying $150 for my Int SUV I know its a better rate than what I started with, and its a great rate compared to some I've seen but its $40 more than I paid in Feb.

I am also shocked at how the aisle has consistently been the most expensive way to go this trip.

Only 3 more weeks for a last minute dip!

I have 12/5 to 12/13 and used the same coupon. I got $169.38. Guess I'll have to go look up the Entertainment ID as I have the Entertainment book, too. edit: I found my book and now my rate is $150 using the Entertainment code from the 2011 book! Yay!

This is much better than my reservation using my executive status with National. That one is coming up to $273.59! I'll give up the executive aisle and take the mid size SUV to save more than $100 in a heartbeat.

I just checked again and now I have a reservation with National using the same code/coupon but for a full size car and access to the exec aisle. My total is now down to $102.42! $48 cheaper AND I am back to being able to pick my own vehicle from the exec aisle. I love it! Thanks, National.

The 2011 Entertainment book with ND8578ADT [$35 off from National] just knocked a bit off a fullsize rental - down to $183 from $228 for 12/10-12/19.

Looks like minivans are down abit for the same period - $266.

The intermediate and full SUVs are still a bit higher than when I booked, so for now its still an intermediate SUV at $154.

We added a day so I had to re-do my reservation. Here's what i've got now-

I also checked and for the same pick up and with drop off at the Car Care Center Dec 16 it's only $69.

My trip is Dec. 3 - 10 and I had had a reservation through National for a Premium rental priced at $128.48 (base price $115.62, $35 coupon from an Emerald Club email offer for pick ups through 12/15, tax and fees totaling $47.86). I thought that that was a good price and figured the Premium would be nice and that car class was priced much lower than a Mid-size that would allow us to select from the Emerald Aisle but I've been checking pricing since I booked it on October 23rd.
Today the price for a Mid-sized vehicle came down to $97.42 (based price) and I took that price. With the same $35 off coupon and taxes/fees at $44.74 the total price comes out to $107.16 and we get to choose from whatever is on the Aisle.

Another $21 in vacation money back in my pocket and what should be a wider selection of vehicles to choose from!

The int SUV/Full Size SUV still up from a couple weeks ago.
Full size cars are holding the blip down from yesterday.

Fullsize on the exec aisle dropped using Entertainment and ND8578ADT [$35 off] to $118 from the $228 I'd previously gotten. FINALLY the aisle is cheaper than a guarenteed Int SUV by a bit [$36 to be exact]. Go get em!

I was playing around getting quotes for my rental at the end of december - found this code for Budget Rental Car - A376105 (Belongs to WestJet Airlines) - it was giving me the best rates I could find (still not as good as the one I booked 6 months ago, but very comparable).

This is the best I have seen for my time frame (early December 30 - January 5). But I have never used Budget. We usually use National or Alamo (but they are still higher for a smaller vehical). What can you guys say good or bad about Budget in Orlando? TIA

Just booked a van from alamo with costco discount, for 274.00 for December 4th to December 11th, i had previously had a full size at 260$ so i was glad to get the van. I'd like to stick with alamo because we are using a visa debit and i've heard most people haven't had any trouble renting with debit there ....but has anyone found a van much cheaper then this ?

also ...can you use the kiosk with a visa debit ? and maybe i'm clueless but what is the executive aisle ?
