O.K. Here it is - The Dec. 2004 Thread. This will be a great way to keep each other company through this LONG wait. Let's keep it going until our trip!!

Will anyone be going to the MVMCP? We went in 2002, and the parade was AWESOME - but my kids were so exuasted after the first parade, we had to head home. This time they will be 9 and almost 7, so maybe we will be able to make it. We didn't take advantage of the rides, family picture, hot coccoa, or anything. As a matter of fact, my DD fell asleep DURING the fireworks - I have a great picture, LOL

We are planning on being there from Dec 1-12. When it becomes a bit closer we will figure out all the details. What we are doing for MNSSHP this year is brigning my mom for 7 days then she is going home with the kids..and we have 3 days to ourselves. Hopefully, we can do that again. I am very excited to try Poly..and I can't WAIT to see it snow on main street!

I love Christmas..we were suppose to go this December, but the FTP came up and it was too good of a deal, so we changed our plans. As soon as I get home from the upcoming trip, I will be planning and booking a resort.

I think becuase we are going twice, we have decided to get annual passes when we go Dec 2004. Cen we get them now and hold onto them until then...or do we need to wait before we go?

We're planning on going December 5 - 10, 2004. Our son and daughter have moved on with their education, and into their adult lives. In the past, our vacations were scheduled around school vacation weeks, so we were never able to take advantage of the slower times at WDW. Hopefully, at least until there are grandchildren, we can visit during the times that we always dreamed about. We plan to attend MVMCP, the Candlelight Processional, and hopefully see the Osborne Lights. If not, perhaps we'll see them in 2005. :)

can i post here too? december 2004, we are doing the christmas cruise instead of wdw. it will be hard not seeing the processional and enjoying the hot chocolate at MVMCP.

Anyone who has a long wait can join!! I adore the Osborne Lights. And the "snow" there and on Main Street is so cool! It didn't come out well in pictures though. I have a better camera now so maybe it will this time. I am thinking of doing the Illumination Cruise for our Mothers - I think it would be awesome. Last Dec. we had the best seats in the house for Illuminations - right on the area by the water next to the Mexican place - it was perfect. But I am doubtful we could get it again. Also, will try to get Cindy's for my little girl. We did the Princess breakfast at Epcot last time, and I lost that roll of film - can you believe that?!!

Since we can't actual do any real planning, it is still fun to talk about!

I can't believe this thread is here. But since it is I am adding my name to us WDW addicts who need a 12 step plan.:p

We are going Dec 4-11. "We" is me, DH, DD (who will be 8), DS (who will turn 9 <gasp> on Dec 5) and my in-laws. I have offered to my parents and sibs to come...they have said tentatively yes but am waiting till Xmas 2003 to really get the answer since I am DVC and will have to make ressies shortly after the new year.

Inlaws and my family are doing MVMCP and all the rest. My family...we'll see what they want to do. They probably will only stay for 4 days instead of the whole week. *Sigh*. I am hoping that this trip they can "get it" why WDW is so wonderful and (I know it's a cliche) magical.

Thanks, TigerLilly'sMom!

We'll be at GF from the 4th to the 11th, and hope to do MVMCP early in the week. Also hoping to do CP with meal plan. Can't wait to see the beautiful decorations in person, and really hoping that they bring back the Osborne lights for 2004:bounce:

It will be just the two of us celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary (after the fact: 11/13 is the real date).

Hoping to fill the trip with lots of romance ;)

Love this thread...I can't wait to go next December. I'm driving down from NJ with my 3 kiddos and my mother in law (DH is taking a golf trip to Scotland with my father in law).

I've been three times in three years, and now I have to wait sooo long for this next rip. The little ones will be 6, 4, and 2 -- and I know they will lvoe every minute of this trip with their grandma. We are going to stay as L-O-N-G as we can (afford)!!

We have spent the last two Christmas seasons at WDW. We moved in our new home in 2001 and have never had a Christmas in it!

We are not able to go this year because of finances(we joined DVC), I started a new job and won't get Christmas off and DD has a Constitutional Law competition the first part of January and will be studying and working all Christmas break.

We are having major withdrawals!!! It's 257 days until we go in June!

But, we will definitely be there 2004. Not sure where we are staying--DVC resort or another resort is there's a good AP rate like there were the last 2 years! DD will be in college--hard to believe!

I hope to be there. This year, '03, will be my 5th December time at WDW, always early in the month, right after Thanksgiving. I love it at that time of the year, great crowds, weather, value season and decorations. What a combination!!!!

hi we will be there 16 dec 2004 till 3 jan, and really looking forward to it, we have never been at this time of year before so we are reading all posts about dec looking for advice, we are staying at the dolphin first time on site, looking forward to that as well, its nice to see others planning so far in advance too, my husband sometimes thinks i am mad finding things out so far in advance, little does he know!! we have decided to do mvmcp just waiting for next years dates to come out to decide which day to go, well only another 14 months of planning left, do you think we will have enough time!! thanks for this wonderful thread susie

We will be going December 5th-17th 2004. Our 2nd trip to the world, 1st to FW. We are driving our new TT down (about 29 hours):( I am still undecided about doing MVMCP. Is it worth the extra money?? Are the wait times for the rides pretty short?? Is the parade 'spectacular'? I can live without seeing the snow on main street, we are buried under tons of snow 6 months out of the year here!!:(
Please let me know if this is a must do.

Thanks so much,

Lory
