If you're hopping, you're tied to the same rules as not hopping, but if you're looking for passes in the park you're not starting in, the passes you get will be for after 2pm.
For example, on your day at Magic Kingdom, at 7am, you could pick a LL past for Animal Kingdom and get a 2pm slot or later. If you're staying onsite, You could also get an ILL$ for FoP for after 2pm. You could get one for Everest as well, but probably better to wait and see how the wait times are. You could also choose a 7 dwarfs ILL$. Then at 11am (because of 9am opening, however, I'd expect this to change to 8am later today, so 11am selection becomes 10am) you could get your second Animal Kingdom pass for the afternoon, or you could get a magic kingdom pass if something was available before you wanted to hop. If you choose a Magic Kingdom pass and can use it within 2 hours, I'd look for another one in MK before you plan to hop and use it, then make another AK selection. If you only do AK selections and AK ILL$, you could have 5 passes reserved before you hop
If you do want to get hoppers, you might want to do it quick. I know those 2 days were completely sold out of park passes, but have availability again. Earlier this year during spring break, I remember Disney not allowing upgrades to hoppers when days were sold out. Also, if you do get hoppers and AK does change to 8am opening, you may want to change to AK as your starting park so you have About 5.5 hours there before leaving to MK at 130 to get there by 2pm. Then you'll have 7 hours there in the afternoon/evening. Of course that depends on if you want to take a break. You could always hop back, but that's just time getting eaten.
