We just switched our dates from Sept . to December 13-20 because of a schedule conflict. We have never been to Disney in Dec., can anyone please tell me if there are any special things we should not miss at that time? I hear that the Christmas decorations are really beautiful, are there any specific locations to see the most? We have been to Disney lots of times, so we like to search for the interesting little things, not just all the popular attractions. Also, how are the crowds and weather? Thanks so much!!!

The time you have chosen, should be less crowded. The weather is usually very nice, but can sometimes be cool. (but warmer than the North!) If we could, we would visit during this time as well. Before it gets REALLY crowded the week between C'mas & New Years.
My favorite resort for viewing the decorations is GF. They have a giant gingerbread house made from real gingerbread.
If you have children, the Mickey C'mas party thing is fun to do once.
(we won't go back, but we are glad we did it) if that makes any sense:confused3
Have a great time!:cool1:

You don't want to miss Osborne Lights, Candlelight Processional, decorations at the Boardwalk and Grand Floridian, we LOVED the Harlem Gospel Choir, also don't miss special Illuminations. Expect crowds to increase steadily during your stay. Weather can be ANYTHING from high 70's and sunny to overcast, damp, miserable cold and highs in the low 50s.
As you are headed toward a busy time of year, be sure to get your ADRs and room ressies early.
MVMCP is a Don't Miss for some, however, the one time I went in very early December, the crowds were horrendous.

There's MVMCP in MK (separate ticketed event) also has dinner pkg.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Tickets on sale May 1! 2008 Dates:
November 10, 11, 14, 16, 20, 21, 30
December 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 19

Holidays around the world & the Candlelight Processional in Epcot (they have dinner pkgs. for this) I love this!
A Disney tradition now in its 37th year (2007), the Candlelight Processional is a moving presentation of the Christmas story in readings by a celebrity narrator and music by a Mass choir and 50-piece orchestra.

Osborne Spectacle of Lights in DHS (must see these) below 2007 dates.
The Streets of America backlot again will sparkle brightly as millions of twinkling lights dancing to music illuminate the area November 12 through January 6, 2008, during the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights presented by SYLVANIA. Amid "Florida snow" flurries, the building facades, trees and streets of the Disney's Hollywood Studios backlot dazzle with three-dimensional and motion-based displays -- some originally created at the Osborne home in Arkansas by businessman Jennings Osborne as a holiday display for the delight of his daughter.

The decorations at the resorts are beautiful. Great time to resort hop. :santa:
