Day 5 St. Thomas

Mickey woke us at 0645. Natalie would not get up, so we had to threaten bodily harm. We all finally made it up and as I had clothes laid out and documents by the door..we were at WDT before 0715. Waited about 5 minutes, we walked down the steps, a customs agent looked at mine and Jims DL, asked Natalie her name, got our hands stamped and we were back in the room by 0730 at the latest.

Jim and Natalie went up for breakfast and I went back to bed..I thought they were going to bring me some tea for my sore throat..but they never showed back up. Come to find out Jim had fallen asleep on deck and Natalie took that opportunity to go to GS and purchase her arcade cards. I crawled out of bed about 1100 and we hung around up on Deck 9 and when Nat came from the arcade and decided she wanted to go to the Mickey pool to go down the slide....yep...you got it....some child threw up and the pool was closed!!!!

We went to the early MOUSKETEER and DIS'er DeeAnn and her daughter Jordan got picked to go on stage. I think they won
$80 shipboard credit....they did great. It's got to be scary up there with "Uncle Hadee" and all!!!!

Natalie went to the club to make Flubber, she didn't want any dinner and I didn't have much myself. Our servers were very upset that I was sick and brought me some wonderful mushroom soup and plain bread. Natalie was complaining of a headache and that she didn't feel good...I told her she didn't have to go to make Flubber..but she'd looked forward to it so much. Jim and I went down to 80's night. I felt so bad that we didn't stay very long and he didn't like the songs they were playing. Just about the time we got back to our cabin, the Drama Queen came bursting in, announcing that she was "going to hurl". I told her to get out of my part of the cabin and go in there(pointing to the bathroom). She tried her best to "hurl" but never did. I ordered milk from RS, gave her that, really cold with some ice and she went to sleep and slept until 0930 the next morning!! She was just worn out from being up so early and going wide open all day.

Sort of an uneventful, low key day. Since I didn't feel well...it was great for me!!!

Day 6 At Sea

The day of our Palo Brunch. I felt soooo baaaddddd..but I wasn't going to miss it.

We ordered Natalie(whom it seemed had made a miraculous recovery) room service. They brought jelly donuts instead of chocolate....HORRORS.....we called back and within 10 minutes she had her choco donuts!!!

We went to Palo and I have never seen such food in my life!!! There was no way my stomach was going to go for seafood at 1030 in the am!!!! So, I just ate some pasty and had a mushroom pizza. Only one glass of champagne...and when I pass up champagne...you know I'm sick...lol We had Kristoff as our server and he was fabulous!!! PJ came by our table and said there was an opening for dinner Friday night if we wanted it. We said of course we did...I wondered if maybe we'd made a mistake because I felt so bad..but I was hoping against hope...I'd feel better by Friday night!!!!! I went back to the cabin and laid down until time to go back to the WDT for Paige Davis' talk, Q & A and the autograph session with Patrick.

There was a good crowd and Natalie and her friend Jansen, immediately said they wanted her shoes! I kept tyring to ask a question, she kept acknowledging me and Josh(the cruise staff) kept going to other people...Patrick came up to me afterward and apologized that I never got my question answered. I said it was OK and I thought it sweet of him to say that to me. She showed some clips of TS, Beauty and The Beast(where she and Patrick met), when she preformed in CHICAGO and announced that during TS hiatus this summer, she is going to be on Broadway as Roxy in Chicago!!!!! We now have to plan a trip to NYC to see LION KING and CHICAGO. What fun. Natalie and Jansen ran out of the threatre before she finished so they could be first in line for autographs. Unfortunately for them, they were not first...fortunately for Paige and Patrick there was a longggggg line stretching back through the shops hallway to the elevators. Natalie got all the autographs she wanted and got her picture made with them...really cute pics. Paiges whole name is Mindy Paige...Natalie's name is Natalie Paige. She asked if she was named after Paige..I told her of course not..but she still thinks she was and is now Paige's #1 fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I left Jim standing in the autograph line with our friends Linda and Christina....and Paige and Patrick as much as I luv' ya....I gotta go try my luck at BINGO one more time!!!!!!!!!!

A lovely young honeymoon couple won the 6000 jackpot. They were so cute...both were shaking all over and crying. Shoot, I'd have just fainted...lol

We went to the early showing of Disney Dreams and then on to dinner. Once again, as soon as dinner was over, I was back in bed. Natalie had gone to a pool party right after dinner was over and was back in about half hour...telling us it was freezing cold and bringing her pizza with her. But she finally got to go down the slide!!!!!!

Day 7 Castaway Cay

We were up early and went to Topsiders for breakfast. I had toast and mint tea...my staple for the day!!!!! Capt. Tom was still trying to dock and I kept praying and hoping and finally he was able to dock. The palm trees were bending double with wind. It didn't look good. It was decided that since it was so cold, I would stay on the ship. About 10, Jim and Natalie went off in quest of the hair braiders and snorkeling. I watched them walk toward the tram and watched it snow on Castaway Cay!!! TOO COOL.... I went back to the cabin with cups of hot mint tea and stayed until Kate knocked on the door to clean. I went around and sat in the chairs on Deck 5 and watched the cleaners clean and a counselor from Flounders pull these two little toddlers around in a wagon....toooo cute. About noon, I went back to the cabin...started to get stuff ready to pack and just about the time I had emptied one drawer...they were back...freezing to death!!!!! Natalie had her hair braided in the headband style with red and green beads. But no snorkeling as all excursions had been cancelled because of the weather. I finished packing as much as I could and rested until time for the Kids Program that afternoon. Jim went to see Under The Tuscan Sun and joined us on Deck 4 for the Christmas Tree Lighting. The tree lighting was
wonderful and brought tears to my eyes.

We went back to the cabin and got dressed for our 730 Palo reservation. Natalie had room service again and Jim and I were off to Palo. I was feeling some better by this time and once again we had Kristian as our server(by request) and I had all my ususal food, salad, steak, souffle...Jim ususally changes..but I'm a creature of habit. While we were waiting for our dessert, Paige and Patrick and their friends came in. I saw them seated at their table and the next thing I knew she was sitting next to me in the booth!!!! We chatted for a few minutes and she could not have been any sweeter. I thanked her for being so sweet and nice to us all week. I told her we knew her...but she didn't know us and it meant a lot to us for her to be so sweet to us and talk to us all the time. We chatted for a few minutes more and our dessert arrived and she went back to her table. HOW SWEET WAS THAT.

Natalie was waiting for us after dinner and we went to our dining room to pass out the tips for the servers. Natalie got all their autographs and we had a great time with them. She then went to the club to get email addresses, etc. Jim and I watched the character "til we meet again" and tried to talk to the cruise lady about booking another cruise. I had been by there several times and the line was sooooo long....PLEASE DCL HAVE MORE THAN ONE PERSON DOING THESE BOOKINGS AND PRICINGS......

We rushed back to the cabin, put our luggage out and by that time Natalie came back to the cabin visibly upset. She had given her autograph book to one of the counselors to hold for her, she(her group) went over to the club and when she got back, this particular counselor had gone and another one was there and her book was gone. This counselor told her to go to GS and get it. She did and they wouldn't give it to her. So, down to GS we go and this guy named Chris...who was just as nice as he could be...told me it had to be xrayed, go through customs, etc...and I'm going "WHAT...THIS IS A KIDS AUTOGRAPH BOOK...NOT A WMD""WE BOUGHT THE THING RIGHT HERE ON THE SHIP". Poor Natalie she's used to my road rage...although she'd never seen it on the ship before...lol She told him it had just happened and poor thing....just to make me shut up...he went in the back room and guess what...came out with the book!!!!!! If I hadn't insisted, we'd probably never have seen the book again!!!!!!

So, after that and milk from RS...we went to bed. And I swear, just about the time my head hit the pillow, the ship started rockin' and rollin'. It doesn't make any of us sick...but it does sort of scare me!!! Anyway, I finally fell asleep and the next thing I knew.....I heard this beeping. Beep Beep Beep Beep...

I get up and we are docked at the Port. It's 0530. I keep hearing this beeping and finally discover it is my cell phone with messages from the week. So after I listen to all the now meaningless messages...it's time to get up and get ready and go down to breakfast.

We meet our servers for the last time and linger as long as we can with them. We run into Natalie's friend Jansen and they have to hug and kiss and hug and kiss....then we run into Linda and her family..exchange email addresses...get our luggage and we walk off the ship. Me almost in tears...we have had such a great time. We walk from the ship down the gangway and IT IS FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are suppose to go see Shirley but we beg off...we are anxious to get Maggie the Dog out of hock!!!! We have missed her so much. We stop and buy her some toys at PETSMART and go get her. She had such a good time...we're not sure she even missed us!!!!!! At least she isn't pouting and mad at us like she usually is.

We drive to our condo in ORL and decide we never want to eat again. Natalie and I are attending the Orlando Ballet performance of THE NUTCRACKER that night and we do a trial run downtown to find the theatre. No problem. We chill until it is time to get ready and go. The preformance is spectacular and beautiful. We enjoy it very much and it is the perfect ending to our cruise week.

We drive home on Sunday and by Sunday night I'm getting sick again. And spend most of Christmas in bed!!!!!

I will do a wrap up tomorrow, with tips, suggestions, etc.

I hope y'all have enjoyed this. I enjoy reading the detailed reports...that's why I do them.

Any questions, email me.

Thanks for taking the time to do a trip report! I very much enjoyed it and am now looking forward to our trip on 1/10!!!

Thanks for posting your report. I 'm sorry you were feeling so crummy for part of it but it sounds like you were a trooper! Was CC unusually cold/windy while you were there? We're going 1/24 and DD is planning to parasail. Hope things are warmer by then! Thanks for the teen spa info - I guess I'll just check it out as soon as I can.

Thanks for posting the details of your trip! I, like you, enjoy reading long reviews. I actually print them out at work, take them home and have a little light reading for the evening! Thanks for taking the time and if there is anything else you want to share.....our eyes are open!

We cruise March 27th 04 and are very excited! Any kind of information is great to read to get us ready!

Minnie...

I think CC was a "victim" of the cold front that came through that week. IT was cold when we docked at the Port, it was cold in
Orlando....and it was cold her at home.

Hopefully, things will be back to normal by your cruise...just keep checking the weather.

HeeHee.....I was so happy to see that we aren't the only people who do this....my husband and I are both navagationally impaired, and we always take trial runs when we can! (And we've both lived in this town our entire lives.)

Phyllis, I am so sorry you didn't feel well and that the weather was so chilly. You all will have to try a Halloween cruise, so far we've had warm sunny weather.

Take care, Ginger
