Dec 11-16 and tour

I am taking a day off the parks to do a SoCal tour, but was wondering the best day to do so. When are the parks most crowded? I was thinking of Saturday but would like to go halfway through the trip. Any tips?

Some people say that Sundays can be busier than Saturdays during that time of year. I think that the parks are really going to be very busy through the rest of the year, so it probably won't matter if you take the Saturday or Sunday to do the tour. I guess Saturday would be a good day to do your tour.
