I posted this twice in the wrong thread today. What is wrong with me? Here is what I meant to write this am:

I waitlisted for BWV 1 bedroom preferred view on Dec 10th. When I called (at 9am) there was a BWV 1 bedroom boardwalk view available. The member services lady kept talking and talking. I interrupted and told her to just book the room. She tried and said, "I'm sorry. The room is gone now. That's how fast they go." Arg I wait listed the preferred view because I figure my chances will be better with preferred view vs. boardwalk view.

ARRRGH!!! I just called to change my dates around for next March and while I had MS on the phone, I decided to check my October and December waitlists. MS had the wrong date for December as being waitlisted for me! I need a 2 bedroom for the night of Dec 2 and they had me on a waitlist for Dec 3, the wrong night! It's fixed now but I'm fairly sure at this late date I'll be staying in my one bedroom at AKV and not in a two bedroom for that one night.

i currently have a ressie at SSR. I tried to switch resorts (to either AKV or BWV) this morning (7month mark) and was told that all resorts (for 1-bdrm) were sold out.

I can't remember this period being sold out this far in advance in the past ... is it due to the mass of developer points? Or just the new influx of owners?

Have been back and forth about what to do about waitlisting, day by day, or week as a whole. Currently have SSR studio and a 2bdrm for 12/7-12/12.
Waitlisted this morning for the whole stay for BCV and BWV any view. Crossing fingers that it comes through.
Donald is #1, can you update me on the first page? THANKS

I can't remember this period being sold out this far in advance in the past ... is it due to the mass of developer points? Or just the new influx of owners?

Probably some part both of those. Plus, lower points for that time of year. Everything is decorated for Xmas. And I'm sure there are a few more reasons.

I'm still wait listed for AKV on 12/11/08 for a studio or a 1 bedroom. I got on the wait list in January but it hasn't budged. I got into SSR for the night at my 7 month window today so at least we have a place to stay if the wait list does not come through. I could have stayed at SSR or OKW for all 3 nights but DH wants AKV. We are in a 1 bedroom at AKV before our 4 day Wonder cruise on 12/5-12/7.

I'm hopeful that one of these will come through, but not terribly optimistic.

I've had a change of heart. This morning I decided to book a 1 BR at OKW. Plenty of availability and we have never stayed there. I have a 1 BR at OKW for Dec 10-11 and I will call day by day until the 19th.

They did have a one bedroom available for AKV concierge for the night of Dec 11th. I got so excited I asked to book it but I quickly realized I would be switching rooms the next night.

I think I will still try to waitlist at BWV for the last four nights we stay.

Just finished day by day booking for SSR 1bdrm from 12/7 to 12/13.
I took myself off of the AKV waitlists for any view 1bdrm, stayed on for any view studio.

Just for the heck of it I asked if there were any studios available for Wednesday 12/10 and checking out Saturday 12/13. NOTHING!!! CM says "Oh I'm sure there will be studios at SSR.... oh, um, no there aren't sorry" That made me laugh

Well now that that's done all there is left to do is book airfare, buy park tickets, make dining reservations, which MVMCP we're going to, plan which parks to goto which days... yep the hard parts behind me

DH just decided yesterday that he wants to go for New Year's So we are now waitlisted at SSR for 12/31-1/3. I know chances are slim but at least I get wifey points for trying.

I am wait-listed (as of 5/13/08) for a studio at OKW 12/7-12/10.
It seems like a good bet. How do you all find out so quickly when your WL comes through?

I went on the waitlist on May 12th, for two studios at any DVC resort for December 7th through December 12th. In the meantime I reserved a one bedroom at Saratoga Springs.
