Deb's (solar) - Babysteps to Big Changes

Thanks so much for thinking of me.

I had a great trip, and didn't gain any weight! :thumbsup2

One of the cool things that happened was that I gained 7 pounds of muscle AND lost 7 pounds of fat! My BMI dropped, and my body did great!

Walking tons as always as Disney and good food choices. I was proud of how well I did - and I'm relieved I didn't have a major setback.

Happy here, and getting back into my regular routine again.

Thanks for stopping by and reading. :goodvibes

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself, but not too much. Sounds like you had a great trip in many ways! Congrats! You deserve it!

Welcome Back, Deb! :goodvibes

It sounds like you had a great trip!:thumbsup2

Hope you have a great day today!

Hi Girls, thanks for your well wishes

I woke up with a nagging cough, but my sinus infection is on the way out, so I'll take that as good news. Hopefully the cough will be gone soon enough too.

Back on my shakes and veggie stir-fries, etc

I like the routine of it, and that I feel content. It's taken some of the "food thoughts" like what to eat, what to snack on....things out of the equation which is helpful right now. :goodvibes

I know I have a long way to go, but I feel like I climbed a big ole mountain by getting through vacation without a gain. It means that some of these new eating habits are sticking. Choosing fruit, and not a ton of it, just enough to satisfy me for something sweet.

I think that has to be one of the things that I notice a lot...I don't eat to "capacity" or feeling full now -- I eat just until I'm content...like, I'll eat something and be like - actually, i think that's enough :thumbsup2 ...not like needing that "feeling in my belly"-- that's one of the biggest things I noticed on my trip.

Cheers, Deb

That's wonderful that you have such control. Keep it up. I may just have to snag your idea.

You are doing great, Deb!:cheer2: I really like how you are taking your weight loss journey one day at a time. I also like how you are incorporating healthy habits that are becoming routine for you. Keep up the good work!!!:cheer2:

Hope you have a great day!

Thank you - I'm trying -- and goodness, I've tried many times over the last 20 years, so I'm thankful that right now, things are moving along and I'm in a great place.

I lost one more pound, bringing me to 20 pounds lost so far.

I feel good, and I'm still just taking things one meal, one day, one workout at a time..and I think that's important for me. I don't feel overwhelmed with choice, with change, or with too much.

I look at "RIGHT NOW" -- what am I going to do. I don't need to carry the weight of tomorrow on my shoulders...just today.

Feeling good, feeling happy, and thrilled the scale budged again.

The only thing I can figure is because I went from all food for a week - back onto my program - my body is adjusting again like it's a new program....don't know, but the scale was down 2 more pounds this morning.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining - but I also know this quick movement won't last. I also will want to make sure it's fat i'm burning and not muscle...so I'll be curious to see the read out at the doctor's on Tuesday...

Either way, it was a nice surprise this morning to see the scale was on the move again.

Last night, I also got another workout in...35 min run with 5 min w/up and 5 min cool down.

Way to go, Deb on losing 22 pounds!!!!:cheer2: Keep up the good work!:cheer2:

Have a great Saturday!

I'm at 23 pounds lost, and my hips are down 3+ inches, my waist down 2+ inches. I'm amazed I'm losing weight, because I've been on so many plans over the years, and not had success. I'm so grateful my metabolism is firing up.

I got in another run last night, but realized I was supposed to rest yesterday and run today! I'm on a new training schedule, and mixed up my days. I'll do my rest day today instead. :confused3 Guess I should have checked my chart closer and noticed the days!

Anyway...feel good, went out to eat twice this weekend, and got a nice salad with protein each time. I'm really happy that I can continue to eat out, since we do it often - and easily stay on plan.

That's awesome! Good luck with your new training schedule and congrats on the loss!

a little x-training today, a 3 mile run tomorrow - rest day on Thursday

things to do today, and just stalling right now....

all is well, feel good, on plan - otherwise not much going on

Hope you have a great day and a wonderful week ahead!:wizard: Keep up the good work, Deb!!!!:cheer2:

Thank you for the continued encouragement.

I'm short on time today, so just a quick check-in...will give a longer update next visit.

Ran 3 miles last night :thumbsup2

Also dropped another pound :)

Congrats on losing another pound!

Here I am - smiling - as I've hit a milestone. I've now lost 25 pounds and I'm still wrapping my head around the idea that YES it's real. The best part is I'm still very motivated and don't feel overwhelmed by the rest of the mountain in front of me.

I realize that even climbing a mountain only happens one step at a time. It's a long journey, but all I need to look at is each and every single step at a time...I don't have to look up at the peak of the mountain, I only have to look at my next step. That doesn't feel so daunting...

I'm going to stop, pause, celebrate what I've done so far, and then put my head down and work towards the next pound - but, I'm feeling pretty good this morning. I realize that my time, hard work and effort is paying off! :goodvibes
