DH and I agreed that the less cash we carry the better. However, it royally pisses him off that ATM's that arent GW ATM's (right outside the bank) may charge us to get cash so we are going to plan how much cash we *have to* bring...

Can we use our Debit card to pay for the lockers, and also ALL USF restaurants (other than street vendors)

Lockers No but restraunts and merchandise yes. I use mine there all the time.

As long as your debit card/check card has the Visa or MasterCard logo you can use it just like a credit card in the parks.

Does your bank charge a surcharge for ATM's that aren't there own? I use Merrill Lynch for my banking, which I like, the problem is they don't have their own ATM's ... but they don't charge me for using anyone's ATM's, so I try and use surcharge free ATM's as much as possible.

Washington Mutual bank has surcharge free ATM's ... here's the banks near Universal (if you have a car):

If you have a car, the nearest branch is about a 10 minute drive from Universal ...

Your post did not say what hotel you would be staying at but most major hotel chains have check cashing privileges up to a certain amount. Call your specific hotel and find out if they have check cashing policies. Since you would be cashing a check there would be no ATM fee associated. This still may be a problem if you bank has a per check fee though.

You can also use a credit/debit card for lockers...at least at IOA...also Publix has surcharge free ATMS......

Just be careful with surcharge free ATMs - it isn't always so. The Publix ATM may not charge you a fee but your home bank may still charge you a fee for using another bank's ATM. This fee usually appears as a separate charge on your monthly statement.
