Hi everyone,

My Universal AP expires in mid-July, so I'm trying to do a quick trip to use it/ visit Disney since I haven't been there in a year! Sadly, I can't get anyone to come with me.

I've never done a solo Disney trip before, but I did a DCP last summer and have done plenty of solo park days. I'll have some friends to hang out with during portions of the trip, but i'll most likely be on my own for most of it. I think my main concerns are that its a "waste of money" to go alone when I could be sharing experiences with family/friends. The trip is quite expensive for me, especially if I'm not splitting the cost of a hotel room.

For those who have done solo trips, did you feel resentful at all of the money spent/wish you had saved it for a family or friends trip? Thanks!

I love my solo trips and don't think they are a waste of money at all. Truth be told, I might enjoy them a little more than when I go with my son (adult). I love being on my own schedule and not having to worry a single minute about whether someone else wants to do something else.

I was worried about that too, my first solo trip in March. But I ended up having the time of my life. The freedom to do what I wanted when I wanted was amazing. I felt so liberated to do what I wanted!! I could be out from RD til closing and no one to stop me. I ate when I wanted and met the characters I wanted! It wasn't a waste of money at all and now I'm coming back on Friday solo :)

Solo can be fun, but I understand the desire to be with others too. You've been in the parks solo so you know what it's like. I find very short trips are great solo, but for a longer trip, I prefer company.

When are you thinking? there is a 10th anniversary disunplugged long weekend coming up end of july :)

Before I moved here I always enjoyed going alone. I can eat where I want and ride wha I want without having to ask
